Xen Rebels aims to bring the best of MMORPGs, FPS, strategy and simulation into a single, coherent game powered by the groundbreaking Source engine and running on the most flexible RPG engine yet. Game administrators will not only be able to DM, but entire new game dynamics and economies can be created on-the-fly to satisfy a need. New, fast and powerful server code allows Xen Rebels to run a decentralised MMORPG, relying on servers assuming controlling status over 'galaxies' and individual servers running 'worlds'. Hopping between worlds will be as simple as jumping into a teleporter in the map and selecting your destination from the dynamically updated list. Controlling servers will run a special 'XEA Centre' map allowing players to jump between galaxies. In-game remapping under Source allows individual clans to claim territory in a very real sense, be it through war or diplomacy. A complete lack of integral governance or even a 'money' resource...
