DownFall is a Half-Life 2 single-player mod taking place in the White Forest surroundings. You 're once more putting on the HEV suit as Gordon Freeman. Your mission is to recover a newly developed technology by the resistance, known as the "citadel buster", before the Combine manage to destroy it.
Hello,
DownFall, my baby has been released, finally set free to roam into the wild.
You can grab it at on Steam now! Store.steampowered.com
What to expect?
A high-quality Half-Life 2 mod, staying true to Valve's design, taking place in the White Forest surroundings.
Chapter 1 is available now, it's short but sweet with an average playtime of ~35 minutes and 2 additional chapters coming in the future.
After 13 day on Steam Greenlight, DownFall is greenlit!
New media and Steam Greenlight voting for DownFall.
Hello, I am looking for a particle artist to create a few particles for DownFall ...
This is my entry for the interlopers.net mapping competition "the forgotten journey". The goal of the contest was to create a map set in a new location...
bit too short for me but not bad Youtube.com
Will we ever see a sequels (second and third chapters as it was originally planned)? I really wish if someone could do this some day - to continue the story from the place where original Downfall ends (in elevator).
Just a small update:
The second part of DownFall is no longer being worked on. I do not have sufficient time to work on it. I landed a job in the game industry, I 've been working at Ubisoft Berlin as a QA and I am also doing freelance level design on SteamVR as a subcontractor at Scraggy Rascal Studios.
Hey,
So, can I help with making a Linux version of this mod?
I'm only interested in a port to Linux since I want to play this on my Linux machine.
There are already some mods on Linux, but I'm running out of things to play.
Thanks
Alex
An update to the Steam Compatibility tool, Luxtorpeda, allows you to play this mod natively on Linux. I included the instructions here: Steamcommunity.com
Nevermind.
I found the Github repo :)

Will take a look there and compile it.
Good for you! If you get any free time, please consider putting in a minute of work into this masterpiece or passing it on to someone else, because you did too good a job for it to be killed
Godspeed you!
(buried)
Please release a downloadable version! Steam only lets you install, not download. I already own a non-Steam HL2 and I'm not gonna buy it a 2nd time just to play your mod.
