SURVIVAL 1.4

Survival is a small addon for Ultimate Apocalypse mod where you have to survive a certain amount of time.
For this I create special wincondition + a lot of
dedicated maps.
To balance this I created different difficulty levels based on the time you have to survive:
-20min
-25min
-35min
-NEVER SURRENDER! (without time limit)

Addon contains 6 maps:
-p5 Outstanding (survival)
-p5 Outstanding Poverty (survival)
-p7 OutstandingPVO (survival)

-p6 FogOfTrees (survival COOP)
-p6 FogOfTrees Poverty (survival COOP)
-p8 FogOfTreesPVO (survival COOP)

How install:
Extract everything and overwrite to your main Soulstorm folder
example for steam version: D:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dawn of War Soulstorm

How play:
You can play as you like, but this is my suggested settings:

1. Add Survival in Win/Lose Rules
2. Set CPUs on the same team
3. Set starting location on: Fixed
4. Set dedicated map p5 or p7
a few remarks : Some game rules don't work with Survival Wincondition, To start meter you must first take Critical location and you can't lose this. , Different difficulty levels can be change by:
survival time/race against which you play/AI difficulty (better play always more than Standard)/ map p7 is harder (there are frequent attacks.)

I'm looking forward to seeing this in the mod.
Is there anyway to increase the time or make it so that you fighting incoming waves until your commander dies?

As I wrote: there will be 3 difficulty levels - with another time to survive (something lika 20min easy, 40 medium, 60 hard) but this take some time to balance.

Im not sure but this is very possible.
Mod will look more like a skirmish - You 1 against 4-6(?) CPUs. It will be forced to manually set game but giving more freedom in settings.
That's all what allow my skills, but I'll try to improve it over time.

Of course, it will be optional version for download from this thread. To make it official addon I would have to ask UAteam... maybe someday. At this momentI I am testing dedicate map and try balance this. It may take a day or more.

I think you could improve this win condition by removing the HQ and instead giving the player a few random units to start off with and allow them to earn more over times as them survive. as for the resources I think it would be cool if they earned more as they kill enemies.
I guess this would be basically what we already had on the UA campaign mod but this one would not be limited to 2 maps. Then again I am not even sure if what I said is possible.

Maybe let player 1 vs AI 4-8
And there is room for Earthshakers/turrets on the front walls.

It looks very good, a lot of spam mine fields :D. Although I would prefer not to use the work of others without their knowledge. Create a something completely your own, I will be happy of checks.

-New grand map 1024x1024 (with coop 2 vs 6)

-New map with less resource for a more strategic approach

-New wincondition I call "Last Titan Standing" :devious: (will work without survival mode)

-You can place a limited number of mines, walls and turrets

Last titan standing win condition, SOB start with and gain no resources unlike the other races. So when I play SOB i cant build anything.

Orks don't do anything important when Last Titan Standing is enabled. In a five way fight on apocalyzed Vyasastan between Necrons (me), SoB, Tyranids, CSM, Orks only built 3-4 Waaagh! Banners and some production buildings but they haven't created any squads to capture points. The Stompa Orks spawn with should be modified so it won't eat up Waaagh! resource at the start of the game.
