Arch Angel Textures Thread - Ultimate Apocalypse Mod (DOW SS) for Dawn of War

After seeing a few comments here and there about the Arch Angel not having "proper textures", i decided to try something out. This was the result:

Basically, i want to know which version of the Arch Angel most of you fans prefer! The one that gets the most votes in the poll will be in the next patch!

Have never really been a fan of the full glowy one and I would vote for the first one, but I'm not a fan of blue glow on the head or the lack of glow on the body. But hey, I guess you can't please everyone amiright?

why having so dank textures when you can barely make em out due the glow? 1st option obviously.

maybe the head can change a bit, cause blue glow is not good for an angel

I would rather have the first option and instead of a blue head, maybe a light subtle blue/or not radiance coming from the entire model.

I'd rather go with the original, the updated version is too incoherent with red and yellow and blue all over.

Why don't you make it all shining white like angels are legitimately portrayed? Sure, you might have to put on sunshades, but still. I'd stick with the original to be honest. The blue head kind of gives it that intimidating appearance, unless you can somehow merge it with the original model and switch their heads. Then again, it's too hard for me to decide, but if you would have one that is SHINING WHITENESS, then there would be no contest. No doubt I would go for an all white one. Just have to remind myself to put on sunshades when I get her out because she's already the brightest unit in the game as it is, let alone if she were to be all white. I would love to see an all white one though. Could you try that out and see if it'll work?

My vote goes to the first of those two but, thats beacuse I am not a fan of such a strong glow if any. Also no 1 is closer to what I would imagine archangel, but if it is still a subject to change than I would see Archangel in mix of pure white armor, with details being in gold and some deep, dark red, wings done with natural feather color (dirty whitish), face needs a new model and blue glow is definitely a no no, it would be much better if there would be some really bright gold/white glow in eye sockets without pupils. Hair color which would contrast nicely would be greyish black. Ok, I know its sounds like heavy demand but hey You asked us for opinion

I'll go for the 1st one, also I never liked the previous "pikachu Archangel"

Love the "blue glow" too, because I consider it to be your interpretation of the "ethereal" color of the archangel body (and not only a simple glow)
I'm saying so because to me, it being only on the head is because all the rest of the body is covered by armour, please correct me if I'm wrong

I liked the first one, simply because t looks bada$$ and makes me want to play now. xD

hmm... I like more old one.. becouse this new looks exactly like Celestine with extra pair of wings.

ehhh.. btw you have almost unlimited possibilities and you just add pair of wings.. why do not you change it more?.. new armor, weapon or something?

A suggestion: the new one's textures with the old one's wings. Could be cool...

Also voted for the new one. Mainly 'cuz all the time I see the old one on the battlefield I think that my units are attacked by some gold cloud not by archangel.

To be honest that' a tough one. I guess I'd have to say it depends on what of the rest of the model remains like #2 as well.

I honesty like the new wings, but i guess its up to you guys in the end.

Cant even see the second one-.- maybe tone down the glowing a bit? But if you dont change a thing my vote goes to 1st

Same here, I feel it (the new wings) has a better texture and is more appealing than than the original...
