Greetings, Ladies & Gentlemen! I have a small gift for you all to preview today, created by the hands of our cinematics artist, Henskelion. It is the first finished* FMV for Twisted Insurrection. For those of you that have played through the Nod campaign, I'm quite sure you could throw in a guess as to which mission this FMV would be palyed after.
Other than the Nod Logo test video (which isn't a final piece) this is the first of the TI video cinematics that have been posted publicly. There will be plenty more to come in the near future, including transmission (radar screen cinematics) specific videos and more end/start of mission videos all to add more depth to the singleplayer gameplay.
Hats off to our very own Henskelion for doing a fantastic job and boosting my motivation.
*There are still a few small kinks here and there that may possibly be edited and or changed, it was also mainly put together as a test of skill for the artist himself, but for the most part, it's deemed a finished product and will most likely be included in future releases.
Absolutely amazing! Like everything in the mod, it looks better than what the core game offers!
Indeed I agree epic work and my best wishes go to the animators. Finally we will get a true command & conquer again. A C&C that has both a good story plot and the videos which made the original c&c games so successful in single player unlike the bad copies of EA in that regard.
Wait...it shoots the door then gives up, turns its turret around, rams the door and then dramaticly swings its gun bacl around?
Maybe the co-pilot said "I bet you can't do it backwards!"
This was done in order to protect the tank's turret from damage while ramming the GDI gate. Every modern IFV or MBT uses the same tactic in this situation.
In detail: ramming a damaged gate could result in metal chunks clogging up or even dangerously scratching the turret's high-tech and delicate weapon systems. Turning the turret around negates this happening.
Awesome job. This definitely rivals the original Tiberian Sun cutscenes, which were pretty good, even by today's standards. I tip my hat to you sir!
Veeeeery Westwood-like. :)
I'm absolutely ******* speechless...
Man... it really fits well on TS style. Great work!
Awesome! The leveldesign of most missions and the story really deserve a good presentation!
Holy ****! This is amazing work!
