"War... War never changes. The reasons why we fight these wars remain much the same; some are fought to conquer, for religious and ideological beliefs, other wars are fought over gold, oil, spices – natural resources and money. Power is the key element. This war is no different - except there's nothing natural about Tiberium. The year is 1995 and we have just begun to open up our eyes to view a brave new future, some will come to say it's a horrific future. It is the Dawn of the Tiberian future." --- Tiberian Dawn is a total-conversion for the game Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars. Our goal is to bring C&C1;to a new engine, with enhanced features and graphics while also bringing back much of the classic style of gameplay while not taking steps back from what C&C3;implemented in the series as gameplay features. This is not of course our only goal - the idea of the total-conversion was inspired by an art piece by Godwin that showed the cruelty and bitter humanity of...
The Airstrip has all of Nod's vehicles swiftly shipped to it via Cargo Plane. Capable of carrying the largest of Nod's vehicles, the Cargo plane is a swift asset in the war against GDI.
The Cargo Plane was modeled by CNCS-Chris, and textured by Lazy6Pyro.
Definitely looks better then the old one.
yeah i did the old one, lol. the camo texture on the old one was more of a placeholder. i didnt really try very hard on the model either but it's alright for the most part. I wanted to connect the main wing to the body better. I see they never fixed that.
I had a hunch you were EAShortbus.
Once took a peak at the UVs, I could tell you didn't try :)
I had a version which connected up fully, but it was wasting a few more pollies than I would have liked and that area in particular didn't need to be completely correct, so I decided not to use it. There is one part of the wing (the center front) that may be iffy with the smoothing groups, but I will see how it appears ingame before I make any adjustments. I just mainly had to do some shape tweaks that didn't match a few references, remove a few duplicate faces/edges, and general optomization; so relatively standard procedure . It was a pretty solid modeling job on your part.
