Thrawn's Revenge is a large-scale mod for Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It includes the events of the Galactic Civil War after Palpatine's death at Endor, up until the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty. If you own the Steam version of EaW, you will have to complete extra steps to run the mod after installation. Please see the manual for these steps.

I really hope it's not going to replace any of the current SSDs. Looks fantastic as always.

We don't intend to outright replace anything with it, maybe just a roster swap. Executor is the Executor, Sovereign and Bellator serve a unique role, and the Eclipse is important for story. We have enough Imperial factions that there's always room for more unique content to diversify them.

so I assume it probably won’t be the full 15km in game, but will it still have the full armament/be modeled at 15km and then scaled down for the game?

Woo, if I recall correctly this is the monster that is second only to an Executor-class.
Maybe a good "mainline" SSD for the Eriadu Authority further down the line reserving the Executor-class for the IR and Zsinj's Empire as they are known for using those.

Considering its size I bet it will have issues with pathfinding thanks to the engine of FoC itself, lol.

depends on if it’s going to be made according to fractal’s numbers for armament or the stupid EU numbers

The Asserter was designed as a straight up upgrade of the Executer I am interested as to what faction will get to use it though

Description

We're closing in on the end of 2.2, and already we've started some preliminary work on 2.3 (along with Fall of the Republic: Thrawn's Revenge III) As the title says, this is an incredibly early, work in progress look at the Assertor-class.

I was originally asked to make this for someone else, and started last year, but with all we ended up doing for 2.2 and some real-life issues which arose, I've done very little 3D work in the last year. This is about where I was after the first few sessions over the summer, with most work going into making sure the proportions on the basic blocking out of the hull are correct.

As with a lot of our more recent work, the model is being amde at a much higher poly count than we'd ever use in-game,. and then reduced as necessary for proper use in EaW (our goal is that 2.2/2.3 will run even better than 2.15, and so far we've achieved that goal based on the tests we've done), which also means we'd have those higher poly/res sources for other stuff down the line if needed.

We'll get into specific uses of this little guy when we get closer to that point. Progress pics will be posted in the Admiral's Lounge on the forums as I go.
