In The Rising, there is no place to hide, there is no escape, and you will not be rescued. The only hope available for mankind will come from your determination and resilience. The time of avoidance and submission are over. The only option is to resist.

Dang nabbit! Well I assume that the Combat reload is faster/better chance of jamming and what not while the relaxed is slower and yields less mishaps?

Well it turns out I was wrong, still a nifty feature none the less, next time you do a video like this I'd suggest you turn the ingame sounds down because since the volume was high enough to hear you it also made the gunshots REALLY loud.

For example Alien Swarm had also fast and slow reload, so perhaps not that unique feature. Even so... I like this and cant wait to try it.

That's not an FPS and in Alien Swarm there was no con to reloading fast, that was something they wanted you to do. Their implementation was just a copy of Gears of War and is more of a mini-game than a strategic decision.

The relaxed and combat reloads were one of the first things i noticed in your recent gameplay video. Great work as always

The beta gameplay video only shows the combat reload.

Really? Because i noticed the player reloading slowly at the start, by looking at the clip, then inserting it in the gun.

Love it. But a quick question, is jamming the only reason to do a relaxed reload on an empty mag? And on that subject, can you give a definite % chance of a jam happening on the fast reload, or will that just be changed based on play testing?

I'm sorry, I don't know this yet. Can you pick up the dropped mag after you combat reload? If not this is pretty dumb you guys, relaxed reload is superior for almost any situation. Saving your limited bullets > Speed. That's just me. Hopefully you can pick up the dropped mag since I've seen you guys have magazine models on the floor.

That would be pretty cool. Seeing an actual magazine drop out, and being able to pick it up. But it's probably more work than it's worth.

The Hidden Source had the magazines drop and be permanent, so I assume it wouldn't be all that difficult.

Maybe make relaxed reload take another 2s more than fast reload...make it worthwhile.

Was literally 0.5s, not worth it.

The relaxed reload is 209 frames, the combat is 112. You are are looking at about 2x speed increase.

I love the fast shoting, relax and combat reload are cool, maybe someone ask this before but, the bullet in the chamber of the weapon is removed when reload or you can have 16 rounds in the beretta?

most cases of Jams are after fire, failure to fire. The reload jamming or round jams are rare.
