The Italian Wars mod team released a new version back in september 2020, but they never uploaded here at ModDB. Now it's time and enjoy this new version!

It's been quite a journey, after so many years I am so happy to present to you a more finished version of the The Italian Wars | Ultimate.
This version has included many of the planned scripts to increase gameplay and bring all the minor factions to life. Though it is not yet finished.. Nevertheless all missing events are fully written but I haven't found the time yet to implement them into the mod. Which means there is still hope to see this mod being finished in the future.

You will find a more than playable version below. Of course, it has not been tested as I did intent, but I'll stick around to lend you guys a hand if any major issue occur.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Dear, the Italian War Mod, which I have been playing in version 4 since 2017, is by far the best I have seen in Medieval Total War II. I just saw the ULTIMATE version on this page, I downloaded it first from here and then from the TWCENTER page, where it worked for me... initially, because I couldn't get past turn 6, where it collapses and a sign appears saying: Medieval 2 : Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit. I have detected two things, when the King of France appears in Naples on turn 6, although the figure is of the king, the one leading the troops is a general named Charles de Valois and King Roi Charles is in Florence, with the same figure that of the faction leader. That is, actually on the map there are two figures of the leader of the French faction. The other thing I've noticed is that he collapses when HAFSID SULTANATE troops are moving. My question is if you have any solution in this regard because I have seen some people with a similar problem. Thanks for your time.
