This is the beta of DIK version 5.0. As I have announced a couple of months ago, not all planned features could be realized. Nevertheless, I wish you much fun with this, sadly, unfinished part of the Italian Wars. All new features are listed below:

Will my save carry over to this version?

A bunch of unit cards are missing, and some unit names say "unlocalized placement text"
I haven't included any unit cards for all new factions.
As for the unlocalized placement text, I guess that's the missing entry for the Mantovani Condottiere.
Ok, that's fine. I just wanted to make sure I didn't install it wrong or something. Love having the new factions in the mod, it really makes Italy much more dynamic.

The installation of my game doesn't seem to work. I don't know how I have to process the .D01, .D02, .D03 files. Can somebody here please help me?
Just extract the files and run the two exe files.
I tried that but the game shuts down after the title screen appears. Ps: thank you for responding, I really love the game. Fantastic work!
Then you have installed it probably in the wrong directory.
What is your file path?
My file path is: Program Files (x86/SEGA/Medieval II Total War/mods/Italian_Wars. I did collect the downloads in a different directory in My documents. Maybe this is the problem?

The download includes the translation files :)
where can these files be found?
There are to .exe files inside the download packages.
On is for the installation of the mod, the other for the translation.
Sorry to be dumb, but I cant find translation files in the download. Should I start again and download from the begining?

You should have two exe files, one for the mod itself and one to install the translation files.

I now know what happened. I started again and downloaded, then located the English translation exe, but when I ran it Norton removed it almost immediately as a 'security threat'. I can load the other exe fine. I can only conclude that Norton is unhappy that we have left the EU and is restricting my access. I will muddle through for now, but any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Did you already scanned the files for any viruses?
I downloaded the file from moddb and in the download folder I extracted the files. I located the English exe and double clicked. Norton then deletes the file as a security risk and I have to restart the PC. The other exe is fine and loads ok.
I didnt manually scan the files before Norton did so automatically no.

Hi! This mod is awsome and i just can not stop playing it...But there is a thing that boders me: out of where is the movie shown when the German Peasant s war fires?

Neadal,sorry but I am kind of an idiot at all this. Can you please give me detailed installation instructions and all that file extracting stuff. I downloaded your mod when it first came out in English. but I had a problem and was forced to wipe my computer clean and cant recall how I did it. Really liked it and want to really play it again if I can get it downloaded with your help :)
