This is a retro remake of the original Supercars II game from 1991 for HL2. It is a racing game where the cars are fitted with front and rear-firing rocket launchers. The player must do well in races to earn points and cash - for repairs, rockets and also upgrades for the car including ram-bars, engine, brake and armour. It is work in progress.

It's competition time!
So far I have recreated all 21 original Supercars tracks - but now it is time to add a unique 4th series! These 7 new tracks will be designed by you and created by me for an awesome new set of races.
You do not need any real drawing skill and you don't need to include original textures or anything - I just need to understand your design so I can draw it faithfully using the original theme. Track design should remain similar in style to the original tracks so they fit in nicely, but preferably no bigger than the original tracks please! I will give you the freedom to decide how complex or simple they are and I will pick my favourite / most suitable tracks.
As an example of the sort of quality images I expect, see this example - Don't forget to specify where the start/finish line goes - and if it goes clockwise or anticlockwise, and make notes on where the hills are and which parts are raised or ground level etc.
To enter, email your images to commie3000@hotmail.com and write the subject as "Supercars Track Entry". Multiple entries are allowed! Remember to include your name or alias so I can credit you :)

Downloaded it. Tried it. Great work! 1 or 2 questions have already been answered through playing. Btw, for next beta, are you we going to have to un-install what's in our Mods folder, or can we simply let it override what's there?
It shouldn't really matter if you overwrite the folder as new content would overwrite but it's generally good practise, plus I don't know what will change or be added in the future.
Just so y'all know, Beta13 installs to a different foldername, "supercarsmod" - beta 1-12 went into "supercars" so technically you don't have to uninstall the old one, but you might as well, saves space and confusion.
I could indeed compact the mod considerably by making a singleplayer only version, it would be identical except it would not contain the multiplayer maps, that would save quite a lot of space. For installation I copy the .rar into my "SourceMods" folder and "extract here", or you could right click on the downloaded .rar and extract to the sourcemods folder. Either way, if you have a folder in your SourceMods folder called "supercarsmod" you know you've done it right. The grav gun was removed in beta11 / beta 12 and added a reset feature, and I've not had any problems with it, but with the checkpoint system there is the potential to be put back 1/3rd of the track. Don't get stuck :p
