"Star Wars Battlefront United" will feel like it's part of the game, as if Pandemic actually released it.
The goal is to convert all Star Wars Battlefront I maps for Star Wars Battlefront II along with the appropriate game modes, the entire BF1 campaign with the original sides, and the merge of the converted maps with galactic conquest! Other changes include, proper descriptions for the converted maps, white map names in the instant action menu, BF2 style mini-maps rather than BF1, and new high quality loadscreens for both BF2 and BF1 maps. Everything included will be packed into one addon folder to reduce clutter. The final result will be incredible!
Following the completion of the mod, all final assets will be released to the community for everyone to use, just as Pandemic did for us so many years ago. This enables the community to easily create their own side mods, custom missions, game modes, and modified "Star Wars Battlefront I" stock maps using perfected map conversions without the hassle of converting the maps themselves!

Rhen Var: Harbor has been completed by the skilled Nedarb7. The converted map features two game modes with both CW and GCW eras. The standard Conquest mode and a 2 Flag CTF mode that will challenge the player regardless of what side is chosen.
During conquest mode the map seamlessly resembles the original Battlefront map and during the 2 flag CTF mode the ice caves have collapsed reducing the size of the Battlefront and making the combat increasingly intense as the players and AI struggle to gain control of the opposing force's flag while combating the enemy. The vehicles will provide protection and a valid reason to take the longer route around the enemy position and make for a hasty return to the friendly capture zone.
One map down, five to go for this milestone.
don't get me wrong, i like the fact that bf2 mods are still being made, but honestly what do you want to achieve with this mod that bf2 conversion pack hast done already (it has all the bf1 maps+much more content)
i don't get why people don't just ask premission from the great older mods fron 2009 (bf2 conversion pack, UBF:TCW, BF xtreme, dark times) and modify that content, something like an update, rather than make new ambitious projects that are aldeady done
Battlefront United - Will Include
-BF1 Campaign (With FULLY Converted BF1 Sides)
-Stock Games Modes (Consistent with BF2)
-White Map Names (Instant action menu)
-Proper Map Descriptions (Instant action menu)
-BF2 Style Mini-maps (Rather than BF1)
-New High Resolution Load-screens for all maps
-One Addon Folder for all the maps
Lastly, after the final release of BFU we will be giving the community the assets for all the maps and sides! Something that the Conversion Pack and Marvel4's Conversions did not do. This will enable the community to create custom BF1 Map variants and more diverse sides without the hassle of converting the maps themselves!
see that is very good and all, it has more stuff than i thought, and again great to have ppl making BF2 mods still
---BUT---
fully converted bf1 sides? BF1 sides are old, and while they may seem "retro" i honestly think that BF1 (and BF2) sides are way too basic for someone to enjoy them today...
in other words, i think it's about time someone makes a mod that gets everything right:
-new jedi saber system (dark times) perfect and fun
-blaster animations/effects + increased damage (BFxtreme)
-immaginative,balanced and lore inspired units
(UBF:CW, BF:clone wars(the animated series remake mod), dark times-with their herro support unit...)
I *get* what your saying Executor-64- but, at the end of the day, people are going to make the mods that they want to make.
(Also - the Battlefront Extreme Lightsaber combat is miles better than the Dark Times. Who doesn't love deflecting blaster bolts as you attack?)
Thank you for the suggestion but that is not the intention of this mod. We will be merging BF1 with BF2 in a way that makes them feel one in the same without adding entirely new content as other "Conversions" have done.
The goals for BFU are listed in the previous comment. Again, we are releasing the assets. If modders wish to create such a mod they may do so with the assets we have provided them with. We cannot please everyone.

Hello, to answer your question we will not be adding custom sides. Just SWBF1 and SWBF2 default sides.
Will the main menu change? And if not will you make a main menu modification that resembles the BF1 main menu?
Well, I'm not a part of making this mod, but according to what I've seen, this is designed to add the original maps and their respective campaigns, but nothing that wasn't a part of BF1.
