"Star Wars Battlefront United" will feel like it's part of the game, as if Pandemic actually released it.

The goal is to convert all Star Wars Battlefront I maps for Star Wars Battlefront II along with the appropriate game modes, the entire BF1 campaign with the original sides, and the merge of the converted maps with galactic conquest! Other changes include, proper descriptions for the converted maps, white map names in the instant action menu, BF2 style mini-maps rather than BF1, and new high quality loadscreens for both BF2 and BF1 maps. Everything included will be packed into one addon folder to reduce clutter. The final result will be incredible!


Following the completion of the mod, all final assets will be released to the community for everyone to use, just as Pandemic did for us so many years ago. This enables the community to easily create their own side mods, custom missions, game modes, and modified "Star Wars Battlefront I" stock maps using perfected map conversions without the hassle of converting the maps themselves!

hey are you guys going to make the "nutral" "third team" faction for example the wookies on kashyyk and the jawas on tatooine yellow on the mini radar like they were on BF1?

Our goal is to make this mod as close to the original game as possible with a clean and seamless integration into the SWBF2. It's quite likely that they will be able to function as you've stated. The only instance we cannot work around is the prone position which was hard coded into SWBF1.

Is there any chance the 'non-standard' team setups from the campaigns could be added as Conquest options? (ie, Naboo Security vs Trade Federation on Theed). I was always kinda disappointed that those could only be played in the campaign.

Once the mod's assets are released it would be easy for someone to make a mod that does that. I'm pretty sure we won't be doing it for this mod though.

Yep, we're still working on the mod. Although we have limited time to work on the project and limited members to assist, progress is still being made every day.

We have recently added the conversion Geonosis: Spire screenshots to the Mod DB page, the map itself is nearing completion, along with Kamino: Topica City.

thats nice this mod will be an nonofficial dlc and yes take your time making this i can wait, i have a few questions though:

one: will the space ships be on the ground maps like in the original bf1?
two: will the naboo tank(dont know its official name) apear in your mod because to see the screenshots you replaced it with the rebel tank on rhen var (considering rebels didnt had an official tank in bf1 so they gave them the naboo tank)
three: can you play as the heros on your bf1 maps or did you used the npc ones from bf1?
fourth: whats kamino topica city? i have bf1 on the ps2 but i dont think its in the list or is it just me?
fifth: will it be teh ep3 clones from bf2 you use on the bf1 maps or the ep2 ones from bf1?

The space ships can be utilized on the ground maps if they were setup that way in the first game. The rebel tank will be featured in the BF1 Campaign; assets will be released for ease of modification addition.

The one detail we decided not to match in the conversion was the Jedi, we felt that the BF2 versions we far more enjoyable to play and have much more variety.

ok thx for answering my questions, nvm about the kamino map i know what it is but i didnt remember it being in bf1, now i remember it again it was added in bf1 but it had one big room instead of two in bf2, and about the jedi so you saying you will not include playable jedi aswel as npcs being jedis? i can understand why it would be unfair considering you just can take an space ship and shoot him while the jedi cant reach you it would unbalance that way exept if the jedi itself takes an spaceship or shoot it down wit a turret.

one last question though wich gunship are you gona use the bf1 one or teh bf2? (considering the bf1 shoots an green laser while the bf2 one shoots a blue laser)

anyways goodluck still with your mod and maybe i hope to fly with a geonosian spaceship or with the gunship on geonosis on your mod when its released :).
