A Starfighter modification, where the player takes on the role as a mercenary, employed by their faction to defend it's mining rights in a disputed area of space. With a new system of resources and gameplay, the player must defend their own mining facilities while also taking out the enemy. You get paid for the kills which allows you to purchase research grants and research new fighters and technologies. Starfighters will be the main focus of this mod and later releases may include Corvettes for high end-game units. Currently the Rebel Alliance, Galactic Empire and Zhan Consortium are the planned factions. Future factions will be done such as a Resurgence Droid Army when the first three factions are complete.
So I don't have a huge amount to announce today but for the first few releases it will be a starfighter only modification.
In the coming months I should have new fighter designs showing up here, you can also view these designs now on my DeviantART page or on MSFC.
Thanks to some time over the past week, I have been able to complete the texturing on all the TIE Fighters models except the Tie Scout, which is in need...
Progress Report This is just a short news post to keep all the mod's watchers up to date. In the last few days thanks to help from Warb_Null and Starfox...
Star Wars Galaxy in Chaos is a mod I have been working on for a while now, just showing images and releasing models on MSFC, my web-page. This mod is...
nice but I dont think this is gonna see light of day, dont get me wrong project is good and I hope you gonna completed but am just sceptical (that is just me) and good luck :D
Edit: nice photos
WOW looks amazing can't wait for this awesome project!
keep up the good work
Unfortunately, Armada 2 is very dated which is a massive shame. The quality of work going into this is as good as some of the high quality projects I've seen for many full priced games, and looking at comparison shots of the original stock EaW models, and the ones here, better.
I am a bit jealous of your texture creations though Maj. Even after nearly 9 years of trying I still just can't wrap my head around making them.
Thanks mate, while I haven't done much in the past 9 months, I have just recently been working on doing some more work on the models I made for this project.
As for the texturing, it can be tricky, certainly time consuming (an average of four times the time it takes to make the model), but the end result is usually worth it in the end.
A new Star Wars mod is what Armada 2 needed. The old one was becoming quite outdated.
I'm sad that this doesn't get the attention it deserves!
same here, great models!
Thanks, glad you like it. :D
