Looks like the Cardassians are fond of this design as well. They have one called "Bok'Nor". ;-)

I imagine Kruge would be one of those annoying people who feel that they need to shout into their phone...

Description

The humble Merchantman-class freighter has been a common sight throughout the Alpha Quadrant for a century, and in that time has become a favourite of independent merchants, traders, scavengers, smugglers and private shipping companies. Known for its mulish reliability and simplicity of design, the Merchantman's low cost of operation and cargo capacity make it an ideal light freighter that continues to ply the shipping lanes at a slow but steady pace.

Merchantman-class freighters are commonly seen as part of independent convoys, trading with and delivering supplies to colonies all across the Quadrant.
