Review for the Misery-mod. Thread - MISERY mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

I been playing misery for about two weeks and having fun but overall the game is very buggy I crash 24/7 and the AI is overpowered I have a fully upgraded assault rifle and I just shoot them 5 times in the back and they turn around and just head shot me from 100 feet away with a barley usable weapon. When I play call of priypat without misery I did not crash at all. I did like misery because of all the items you can get but alot of it was just the same and got repetitive. After today
I was going to play misery but everytime I load a save I just crash no matter what I just crash. So I got fed up with all the buggyness with this game and removed Misery altogether. I would give this game a 5/10 I was so exited for this mod but this was just a massive disappointment. I hope in the future the team makes a game just like this but in 1st person almost like a Stalker 2. (I know about Seed and I'm really wondering how it will turn out seems pretty cool.)

Install Misery properly, run as administrator, there is a thing called armor piercing ammo it costs more for a reason.

I did install it properly I did run as a administrator.And I did buy armor piercing ammo :/

get a better PC maybe?

Nope I have a great pc I can play games such as Arma 2 and skyrim better than misery.

don't know what's wrong then, I have a less than amazing PC and I can run misery fine, maybe turn your settings down a tad bit

There are a few threads that are setup to tweak the game.

Moddb.com This was created cause of the range enemy can spot you. Initially it was created cause snipers could easily kill enemies without them even responding. Eye range is standardly 350 most find it better at 200-250.

Mercs should also be able to headshot you at 100 yards easily, as you can easily headshot them. Some stalkers are beginners others vets or eegulars, this makes a big difference. Stutter can be caused mainly of your alife distance. When installing the is standard at 300. However if you stutter already at the early/mid range of the game, especially early something else is the matter. Running dx11 works poorly with the engine for example. Lighting, sun/shadows especially can slow things down try playing with static lighting that helps a lot. Vsync off, is also smart or maybe anti aliasing, try to see if you stutter with low graphics to determine if that's the cause. Ati cards are known to be troublesome with a variety of games.

I suggest looking around the forum to tweak things up, in the mods are some good extras like scopes/ammo mods etc.
