Hello there stalkers,

I started playing this awesome mod yesterday (version 2.1) and I'm having trouble with healing Radiation.

After retrieving the wheel artifact I my Rads were green (250-1500msv) I drank some Vodka that I found and smoked 4 cigarettes and my Rads did not drop, killing me every time. The only way I survived was running back to the boat and paying the Doc to remove the Rads. I was thinking about buying some Anti-rads but it seemed pointless since the Rad reduction is comparable to smoking a few cigarettes.

Also I'm finding the "Geiger counter" sound extremely annoying, why does it continuously play even when you are not in an irradiated area ? Anybody figured out how to turn that sound off, its so grating on the ears.

The wheel artifact you better put in one of those lead containers you can buy from beard for 2k, else you radiate your ass off. Then use the brown teezers too remove it front of beard and talk to him this way you are the least time radiated. Cheap artefacts might have 6 rads or 8 and with a good radiation protection you can easily handly that. Higher end artifacts have 17 or 21 and that can even go somewhat quick with high end rad gear, quest often have things like 37 or 41 so you do the math. ;) Use a lead container always for quest artefacts but do not put the container in your chest, else you might get it buggy.

The geiger counter also plays if you yourself are radiated.

Oh okay, I didn't know that about the Lead containers. I assumed the -rad res from the artifact was only if you had it equipped, but I like the container mechanic and it makes sense now why I was dieing. Thanks for explaining that. :)

Now I just need to find the Geiger sound file and delete it lol.

That'll screw up Your game I'm pretty sure. Replace it with silence maybe? With the same name of course.

I think You're the first person ever to find that so annoying :)

I have all the stalker games and it never bothered me until now. I think the sound file has too much gain, sounds way too scratchy/abrasive on the ears. :(

The geiger noise also notiifies you when you in a radiated area. Just remain unradiated works better, else you might find yourself dead in radiated areas.

So takes anti-rad drugs/alcohol or water and remove it.
