So I'm just walking around in the jupiter plant, when suddenly i hear a buzz and my screen becomes blue. I hear it for like 4 seconds and than i die.
Can anyone explain what this is and tell me what to do?
Thx

It's a poltergeist. They have a passive psychic aura that can cause extreme damage to you through walls. They're probably inside the main building, and you're probably at the bit where you need to go through a relatively narrow passage in between two buildings. Run as fast as you can while hugging the left wall, and with luck you'll survive long enough to escape their attack range and find yourself in a little courtyard with some sheds and construction equipment. If that doesn't work, you'll need to increase your psy immunity; use marijuana or psyblock drugs, and/or wear a SSP-99 helmet.

Once you get to this point you can continue on around to the plant's main entrance. Then you can snipe the poltergeists through the door before you enter. Expect worse encounters with poltergeists before the game is over.

Keep in mind the poltergeist often comes wandering out the building and up toward you. Keeping to the left will keep you mostly out of its range, but don't go running in trying to avoid it, the place is packed with pseudos, controllers, bloodsuckers, zombies and someone has even seen burers too. Keep back and try pick them off. If you're prepared enough and have radiation protection, sprint to the stairs past the yellow digger and shoot at them all from the first landing. You can get on the digger too, but you can't see as much from there and the bloodsuckers won't reveal themselves either, so I'd recommend the stairs. And don't worry, monsters can't climb stairs :-)

The spawn is almost completely random. There might be bloodsuckers, or half a dozen izloms and three burers, or a lone psy dog. Whatever there is won't kill you as quickly as a poltergeist's brain frying aura though.

I always smoke some marijuana before venturing in there to protect me against the poltergeist, but once I was too busy fighting off three chimera to notice how close the poltergeist was getting. Next thing I knew my brain was fried (in more ways than one). ;)

Well, i gave up.
The poltergeist were easy to snipe.
But the controllers, damnnnnnn, i cant even see them and they kill me in 4 hits and bloodsuckers everywhere (saw 3 at them sucking my blood).
Thanks anyway, but misery is too hard.

I'm ok with having a lot of enemies hanging around jupiter but they're all so extremely concentrated its really hard to deal with, especially when controllers mixed with poltergeists you can't see or shoot until the very end, pot and a seva suit don't help as much as I wish they did since hanging around and attempting to kite them out gets you heavily damaged, snorks can jump through trees and have a huge attack hitbox even after they're done rolling

I wish that all these enemies were spread out inside jupiter instead of all outside and in that back pocket, spreading them out would make this place a lot more fun and a lot less troublesome

But more spread out means less susceptible to grenades! :D

Build explosive traps. Works great if you know where the enemy will be especially around corner against slower moving enemies.
Buy cheap 1 use left propane tank and jerrycans. They are super cheap and effective explosives. Few well placed shot or one grenade will trigger massive explosion. Or you can use mine as trigger. I tried put 5 or 6 of the jerrycan together then set a mine in the middle, took out 3 exo suit duty at once. All I did was set the trap right at door of train station.
Propane and jerrycaons can not be throw, only dropped from inventory so always take some time to prepare the trap, works like charm once something get caught in the explosion.

This is my movement when i first go to jupiter plant, i stick to the right side of plant, so that any psy field that comes from inside wont get me. Kill every other mutant that comes until i get to far point opposite of the entrance and from there i kill the poltergeist and the controllers inside(block controllers view with obstical, a truck, tree, etc). its gona be hard fight until you get to that point, coz many mutants are spawned, get back (don't continue more forward) in some of the building if you think you can't overcome them, so that way you can kill them in waves, not all at once :)

Or you can set few explosive traps right before making that sharp left turn, near the excavator. Mine and LED will work, make sure they are set close to each other to cover enough field, when one is triggered all of them will go off to maximize the damage. That way you will be able to lure bloodsucker and fast moving mutants into a mine field, without getting near the entranc.

I'm telling you man, sprint up and get on the excavator, jump to the hut, then get up the stairs above the Strelok's stash. Muties can't climb stairs, you're out of range of the Poltergeist, and you're hidden from the entrance to Jupiter factory so controllers can't see you till they walk round. Pick of the controllers when they emerge, hiding behind pipes etc if they see you, go down to the first landing and watch the bloodsuckers frantically run beneath you as you tickle them, snipe any zombies or psuedodogs knocking about, then head round to your finishing point and shoot the poltergeist through the door. Minimum effort, zero damage incurred. Except some rads. :)

I'm with htkblazer on this one, although sometimes I just get between the stairs and the hut on ground level and take everything out from there. That way I'm hidden from controllers and protected from chimera and bloodsuckers who won't/can't get between the shed and the building structure.

Yea, thats a nice way to deal with muties(depending what type they are) before the poltergeists and controllers inside the main building

Haha score, I'd thought about that but didn't have the balls to try it! Usually sprinting and screaming "shitfuckbuggershitfuckbuggershitfuckbugger!"

It's especially funny to watch chimeras try to circle round you only to get their heads stuck in the building halfway down towards the wall. Then they become easy prey for tossed grenades.

Grenades are usually good choice when it comes to dense mutant party. My methods are brutally simple, lure out these can be lure out, to thin their ranks. Toss grenade at long distance may not get me a kill, but sure will get mutant's attention. The snorks, bloodsuckers, dogs, psedodogs and curious cats will be likely come to me to investigate. Controllers and floating shitheads most likely will stay in building but I did manage to lure controller out once. I was taking time sniping, they actually walk outside and trying to telepathy attack me. Pop both giant brains out.
