Hi, I'm new here, I'm playing Misery from about 3 days and I like many things but not this one: every time I kill someone, he has no ammo at all(except some crappy pistol amo etc.).
Why they are walk around zone with no ammo at all when player need to have atleast some of it?
They can shoot you all the time but if you kill them... *poof*... you see that they didn't had ammo that they were shooting at you, same with food, they are wandering around zone without any food?
They don't have to eat at all?
It isn't "hard" it is just "unfair"(for lack of better word) you must do everything to survive and they are just like "f*ck you".
And the most annoying thing is that they don't have any ammo in their weapons, even if you killed them just after they reloaded weapon.
I'm not saying that everybody should drop shi*load of items like player is carrying but please, some realism.
I thought that Misery will make game harder in realistic way not just hard only... make it harder even if this makes no sense.
But enough of my complaints about mod, I wan't just change one thing, the ammo thing, how make them have at least some ammo in mag and in inventory for the weapons they used to shoot you?
I've tried to change some parametres in death_loot_settings.ltx but what happened is that they had ammo, sure, but I didn't meant all ammo for every weapon, I guest I've changed wrong numbers :)
How make them to have equipment that they were spawned with?
I don't care if it will be too easy, If it will make them to not shoot with "air" from their inventory.
Sorry for my english and pretty long text :)

I think every new Misery player complains about this. Rest assured, when you get further ahead, you will have more then enough of everything.
I just recently made it to Pripyat. I usually spend more time roaming around then actually advancing story (i blame it on this being my 6th or 7th playthrough), but I can tell you that I never buy any food only gas for the stove. I mostly stay in Jupiter because there, i can kill everyone without risking being shunned by other stalker, or more importantly traders.
I have by now close to 1000 rounds of 5.45x39mm more then 500 rounds of 5.56x45mm. I have a healthy supply of 7.62x39, more grenades then I will ever use, both hand grenades and rifle grenades, and so much meat, all I can do is sell it, because i would die from radiation poisoning if i ate it all.

The only thing i would like to see more often in when looting npcs is basic repair stuff: oils, the tape looking thing for suits and helmet, repair aids like steel wool and textile sheets.

Trust me man, you will find more than enough food and ammo. Here's a little tip, get 2 rifles of different caliber and pick up every gun you find. If you haul it back to sell to Beard or Hawaiian is your choice, but doing so will allow you to buy ammo for your main gun every time you return, before long you'll notice you don't need to buy any more ammo. For food, I mostly get lucky and find stalker that went out hunting, but i also do my fair share of hunting especially when I come across bloodsuckers. Effort/reward is the best imho. Chymeras have nice loot too, but they are just too much of a pain to hunt.

Chimeras and pseudogiants die by just two grenade launcher shots[1600 roubles]. And you get atleast 3k from each.

It's not about that the ammo is hard to get but about realism, I don't care if later I will be millionaire, I'm not type of person that collect any random trash and sell it to traders to get some cash.So again, how to disable item's removing on death?

Dant3s5, I don't know the engine well enough to affect the actual loot drops, but there is something I do know that will probably help you.

If you go into the configuration menu while playing, one of the tabs has MISERY options. Try disabling Infinite NPC ammo; then your enemies will suffer just as much from the ammo shortage as you do!
