Help!! Game crushes in the Iron Forrest when I try to kill the Controllers... compiling shader deffer_model_flat_d_0 0023:08390AC0 xrGame.dll, CxIOFile::Scanf()
Apparently the last 4 game saves are corrupted, if I start the game from about 4 saves back the game will start no problems, then I kill the two Controllers again, save again, I am not using the quick save anymore, then for any reason I die and I want to start the game again it won't work, I will have to go back again and start all over again. |

Try turning your alife switch_distance down to say 10 or so, loading the save, waiting a minute or so, save again, then exit and turn the switch distance back up |

After killing the controllers, zombies and poltergeist at the iron forest after checking the helicopter I believe two new ones approach you from the west (sometimes with a bunch of zombies or bloodsuckers). I had these issues with zombies and controllers in the krug antenna or forest area (after solving the quests there). If you have a range of alife 300, it might be they are the cause, as further areas become real time. Still regardless controllers, old zombies and even pseudo giants can cause this. Lowering as Yastiandrie says might make you able to defeat the enemies. The saw mill can have this issue too sometimes. As last resort you can save further away and play at a low setting like alife 50 or 100 and clear the krug antenna. Edited by: Nyayr -- Avoid using autosaves, use hard saves only. Wouldn't suprise me if it turns out a zombie is stuck. Lowering sd and giving them some time to compose themselves fixes the problem in most cases Xray is like a nagging wife (no offense to women or wives, unless you are a nag) |

I have a lot of problem around Krug Antenna with zombies, controllers and pseudo giants (once had two showing up). One went into a loop going down the elevator and running out of the tunnel, the other strayed off. Foes in such a loop I can jump down the elevator and shoot them in the back and they ignore me and keep walking. I never gassed the place so that might be the cause, for this behaviour. Or the fact that they have to keep moving for some reason? I know that some enemies get themselves lost in this area in 2.0.2. as you could hear them but never find them. The OP zombie fix help out a lot. -- Avoid using autosaves, use hard saves only. Logs are located in "C:\Users\Public\Documents\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Pripyat\logs\xray_....log" |

Thanks guys for your suggestions, by putting the switch distance down to 10 I was able to load my saved game and continue, after all this I decided to change the switch distance to 100 and so far is working ok; by making this change is going to affect the game in any way? |
