This hotfix fixes several issues in the prior public release. To install, extract to your mod directory and overwrite when prompted.

-Heavily reduced early game AI build up; figured out what was letting them get super fleets early on and fixed it.
-Fixed Republic's HoloNet issue
-Nerfed Slave Rigging
-Fixed space mine build issue with Vong
-Fixed MC30, MC Heavy Carrier, skin issues
-Fixed issue where certain moons appeared as black spheres
-Fixed issue with planetary shield generator research for Vong
-Fixed Hatred of Mechanicals
-Fixed a few ships missing from the squad size redux addon
-Added anti-starfighter abilities to hangar defenses
-Humans can now buy capital ship levels, to a max of level 3
-Added Point Defense ability to ISD-I
-Adjusted available team colors
-Did more string changes
-Added refinery extraction rate for all resource extractors that previously had a refinery bonus of 0
-Changed up how the supercap buff chain works to make it more reliable
-Supercap construction ability will no longer autocast; humans can now choose when to build their supercaps whenever
-Cruel/Vicious AIs now work with supercaps enabled
-The Executor and Viscount will now fire forwards instead of turning to it's side

Two bad I get too many performances issues with big fleets, this mod is awesome. My PC is pretty good, nonetheless.
Make sins Large Adress Aware. Should fix your issue.
im getting similar issues after about 30mins play with a large fleet my frame rate is going mental dropping to 11fps and my pc is far from awful im trying to figure out how to optimise the mod to see if that helps

Hi guys, since the new version of the mod i got very bad lags with big fleets after 20/30 minutes of game... did someone have the same? I got a good computer tho.
I don't know if it was the same before hotfix.
It was. Make sure LAA is enabled, and use the squad reduction addon; should cut down on lag considerably.
how to check if it is enabled?

Hey guys, quick question. When ever I play there is this little thing where when I play as republic or some other faction where faction colors are added to the ship they aren't there. So If I play as the republic and have say a blue faction color, all of my ships are just grey for a color, look like they are straight off the production line.
Excuse me, I have successfully downloaded the patch from your site, however the instructions are confusing me. When I go to the 2nd installation instructions, the only thing it says is "Extract the contents of the zip file to your sins mod directory

It's telling you to extract the archive to your "Mods-Rebellion v1.82" folder and overwrite the existing files if prompted, as this is a patch and not a full version.
I tried but i don't think the patch is working. captial ships are still coming out at lv 1.
I have correctly installed SoGE with LAA and everything (and it works fine, no crashes in ~6h and I can't select vanilla factions).
Only rather big problem is that in the first round I played as the Republic (from the Clone Wars) on a Random medium map and spawned with 2 Tier I and 1 Tier II ship factory, no supercap (which I checked multiple times, but I didn't get a Tier III supercap factory). That rendered me unable to produce supercaps, which was quite sad, as I would have loved to get some of them into action. Haven't tried more games yet, so I can't say with certainty if that bug is reproducable, but it seems worth looking at, I guess ;-)
SoGE repurposes Sins' quick start into an on/off button for Supercaps. Make sure you have them enabled in Game Options before you start a match!
Oh, alright, I didn't find that in the FAQ.txt or the How-to-supercap.txt, usually I like to build everything "up from the ground", so it was disabled. Good to know, I'll watch out for that button to be enabled in my next games! :-)
nice! yeah I was wondering about that early game build up. There were a couple of maps where I just got wrecked because of that. Thanks for fixing that.

Mod is awesome, buts whats wrong with the AI ? In the Vanilla Game, i can easily beat the Hard AI, but on this mod even the Easy AI rofl stomps me after 45 Min- 1 Hour.
SoGE plays entirely different from vanilla. I'm afraid you're just not used to SoGE yet.
Yeah, I put back the old light blue from vanilla, as the Republic red just wasn't working well.
What is the SoGE and Squad Reduction mod checksum supposed to be because im having trouble playing online? Always get wrong mod checksum. I have tried removing the mod and re-extracting. Also tried redownloading.
Wondering if this is intended or not that some planets cannot have their infrastructure upgraded at all and also the social and industry cannot be upgraded (hovering over the develop planet says string not found) sorry if intended but I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.

Small thing,apparently Vong colony ships will not colonize unless specifically told to, ie you cant just send them to a planet. Tried with both skills auto'd and singly. Clustership has no problems tho

i cant find an answer in the documents ive reasearched everything and the supercaps wont come or build. it always just says "1 point of this is the wrong supercap method prerequisite reasearch must be conducted" and i already reasearched everything
how is it possible that the easy cpu has superships early in the game (20-30 min) and like 5 capitalships. does the cpu have unlimited supply or does it play in a very quick pace? (im new to game, so i am not the quickest)
What difficulty are you playing on? What factions were you playing with?
There's definitely a bug with the AI. Just had a friend try it out on his machine and he's getting the same exact results. Easy AI. 1000+ rating by 25-30 mins, massively outnumbers anything either him, or me could put out. This is NOT coop vs AI.
so.... I'm getting a random crash(no error report.Nothing.) about 30 mins into game... it just closes. Specs; Win 7 64bit, AMD FX-8350 8core Processor,Asus R9 270X.... i just wanna play this so bad. this is my first attempt at fixing this problem. So hopefully someone can point me to a solution? plz?

So...just downloaded the mod... like it . my Q is about the ship speeds .are they suppose to be that fast ? and does the hotfix...fix it ?

Is anyone else having trouble with the squad reduction addon? It doesn't seem to work for me no matter what I do. I put it in the load order and it shows up in the mod menu in-game but I'm still seeing hordes of fighters and it's hurting my performance, and I've got a pretty powerful PC. Is there some specific way of installing/using it that I need to follow in order to get it to work?
In a related question, could the mod team consider simply merging the addon into the mod permanently by reducing the number of fighters in each squad? I don't see the point in having a mod with so many fighters when they're just too much for the game to handle so an addon to reduce their numbers is packaged up along with the main mod. Why not just reduce the number of fighters in the main mod and be done with it so people don't have to worry about the addon in the first place?

Alright, now I have the mod, not this update, now this one, is this a full update, where I have to replace the folder, or just move this over and I still get lag even when the LAA is on
how do i know if the LAA is enabled on the mod?
So this Hotfix is suppose to fix the Republic Holo-net warp ability. I either installed/updated/patched it wrong, or it is still not working. if someone is able to help that would be awesome!

Hello people.
This is an issue I am hoping the mod creators could help me with.
When I was playing Soge before the hotfix, I usually played by going to the Map-Creator or Map-Generator, to make my own custom map. The problem was that the AI built ridiculously huge fleets and always overwhelmed me.
Now, from what I understand, the Hotfix fixes that, amongste other things.
The problem is this. After I installed the Hotfix, the Map-generator started having problems. It says 'String not found' with almost all of the Stars and Planet types that are usually available in the Pre-Hotfix SOGE for SOASE Rebellion.
What is this 'String Not Found' problem? Do you guys or girls know? Could you please come up with a solution for it? I have read through all of the above comments and all the comments on the SOGE MOD DB main page, and looked at the FAQ's and found nothing about it.
