- What is it?
SHTUP (System Shock 2 Texture Upgrade Project) is a mod for System Shock 2 which aims to increase the resolution of all the common (and quite a few of the not-so-common) object textures. A secondary objective of the mod is to correct all other graphical glitches, such as typos, continuity errors, texture alignment errors, and so on. All of this is to be done while sticking as closely as possible to the original art style. Simply put, our goal is to make SS2 look like a higher-res version of itself.

Latest version: Beta 5
Download: Shtup.home.att.net (~8MB)
(unZIP into the root of your SS2 install folder, with "Use Folder Names" enabled, then follow included installation instructions)

Yes, the SHTUP texture pack and the Rebirth model pack are both compatable. Also, if you are having a hard time setting up a coop match, download a program called "Hamachi" (http://www.hamachi.cc/) it basically sets up a virtual LAN over the internet.
You can also use Hamachi for any other games that support LAN.
fantastic effort! I'm most definitely contemplating reinstalling it and having another run through coop.
Quick question though, is it compatible with Rebirth? (it's a high-poly models pack, actually the only other mod under the SS2 section here).. I was really hoping so since they have been focusing more on character models and you guys seem to be going for the environmental stuff!
