Shaft brought to life the original concepts from Half-Life's early years. Featuring enemies, areas, and game play features that never made it into the final product! !DEVELOPMENT HAS NOW ENDED!
"Blast from the past!" -Gabe Newell
So I wanted to show you one last thing before we move on to the next chapter. I found 4 pieces you see at the top of the map near the skybox were a bit of a pain to make them look right, and get the scale correct. I guess mapping at 3 AM does that every once in a while.
Another note is that I started using fog in the mod using Spirit of Half-Life 1.9. I think it helps the atmosphere out quite a bit. especially in post-disaster areas.
This got some nice looks. You put a lot of effort to the /after one.
Of course! We always want to give it our all!
Thanks! I messed around with the effects like the fog, and the beam for an hour or two getting it right.
Dang, thats lookin' Nice!
So good to see how are your guys making this mod, keep it up!

IGN in a nutshell. Pretty sure you know that quote I posted at the top isn't real. I just remember another mod posting that thinking people would believe that nonsense.
Sorry for being unrelated to this picture, but this is still about SHAFT. Will Xen levels still in Shaft or removed?
And how's that supposed to work? I know in the retail it does make sense, giant beam powered by roters and whole Black Mesa Facility generators and even it's own electric dam to scan the crystal. This one is looking good, but what's it's purpose?
