Hey Baron, everything is super just like everytime in 5.4 but bulletin boards are from vanilla RtcW, not HD, any suggestions?

My texture pack is incomplete, I know, but I keeped default where hd stuff isn't good enough yet. A mix between old and new. Lot of players still playing default Rtcw 1.41 because new ports has different bugs and gameplay issues and there's not matter to replace certain details in high resolution or different aspect ratio. Also for that Venom v5.4 is compatible with other project that contains custom menus, like RealRTCW and Dark Army.

Is there any way to keep the graphical changes but set the A.I back to normal? This game is infuriating at times because of the changes. Enemies eat a whole sniper clip, Paratrooper survive multiple headshots etc. Played it without any mods after years and everything was fine and dying quickly without too much hitscanning or surviving explosive barrels and rpg's. Other than that the mod really is great and makes the game look fantastic compared to the vanilla graphics.

Thanks! About difficulty, I made it just to be more challenging, and still easier than first Medal of Honor or other mods.
Some tips:
if you aren't good enough, play the first difficulty;
Dont run all the time, walk! Enemies hears you;
Shoot groups of enemies staying crouched, and search for repairs;
mausers, fg42 and mp40 was accurated weapons;
Explosive barrels are every time deadly for common soldiers, but not for paratroopers;
Use granades wisely.

Hi HellBaron89!

Great job with the mod. It's absolute joy to play Rtcw in 2017 with that kind of graphics.

There's only one thing that really sucks. There's still a lot of original, low quality textures next to the great looking remade/remastered ones. They really stick out in a bad way.

For example bricks on the walls in the castle Moddb.com

IMHO this mod would be the best mod ever if it focused more on the replacing all original, lowest quality textures first and then adding new features.

For now, It might work merging some textures from here Rtcw.pro to get overall better quality. Could you consider including them for your mod?

Second thing...How can I change the muzzle flash when firing to the default one for nostalgia purpose ;) What file in pk3s I have to delete or what command I should use?

Hey there HellBaron89,

first things first: AMAZING work, thank you so much!!! It is really great to see this golden oldie shine like it does thanks to your work & effort, thumbs up!!!!

Now to my problem (and I hope sooooo much that you can help me or give me some advice):
I am not a skilled gamer due to some physical restrictions I sadly have, and I remember well that I played through RTCW when it was first released, but I struggled heavily..... I put a lot of effort in it and finally was able to finish it! With your mod allthough, it is a totally different story for me.... It is like a gamebreaker :-(

Sadly, I am in no way able to play in that high difficulty settings, but I desperatly want to experience this nostalgic classic in the new glory you gave it! I dunno what you changed, if it is anything else apart from the AI or just this, but I can't seem to play it like that, because that is just not possible for me....

As I am in no way willing to cheat, here is my desperate question:
can you somehow help me in getting the original difficulty settings? I know, you made this for skilled players, but please help a fellow dude out here!

I love almost all mods and maps that had being created for this game. But I am curious to ask if anyone ever tried to fix some minor problems from the Original game that it appears also in mods.

1) If you equip the flamethrower and kick your enemy, he will react as he catch on fire !!!! WITHOUT EVEN SHOOTING LOL !!!

2) Create if possible "auto-reload off" option. I mean seriously when the clip is empty then you should switch to another weapon, but that is not possible ?

3) One option that I disable from the game is the "cg_autoactivate", basically the auto-pickup of items and weapons. I love this option to disable it because is adding a little bit of realism. The only problem with this option is that is a little tricky where you have to aim on the object or item you want to pickup. Another problem is when you reach an altar full of spikes with a treasure on it, you cannot pick it up.Is in the map "crypt2" at the end of the level.

Thank you. You talk about realism, if weapon are empty why should changes from it self? More realistic is the need to change weapon after shoot all munitions by yourself. Isn't quake3! Never found problem to pick up the chalice in crypt 2 with "use" button. I will never change the original gameplay :) except for AI.

Thanks for the reply. I think there is a small misunderstanding here, I think. What I am saying is for example I have the MP40 at hand and the moment the CLIP reaches zero(not the ammunition),it will automatically reload. Supposedly it might be better when the CLIP gets empty, you will have to press the reload button to reload a new CLIP. Supposedly it will give me a small chance to change weapons at that time instead of waiting to reload. Just saying...

Well about the auto-pickup is something for my own preferences, also this option exist in the Controls --> Misc.

Oh, thanks btw for the BIG changes in the Snooper Rifle. More ammo and the CLEAREST night-vision scope I ever saw !!! Very well done!
