The Russian BMD-3
The BMD-3 is a vital part of the Federation’s special operations. They are responsible for transporting Russia’s elite infantry. They are also armed heavily enough to be considered threats on their own. They are usually seen wreaking havoc behind enemy lines, long before the enemy is able to react.
The VDV (acronym for Russia’s Airborne Troops) are very fond of the BMD-3 despite of their disposability, it is common procedure to destroy the vehicle after the operation is complete. One particular soldier is reported to have created a song in respect of the BMD-3, however, the lyrics contained references about his captain’s daughter and he was relocated to Siberia before we could contact/locate him. The lyrics now are considered one of the war’s many lost treasures.
The American Airborne Humvee
This Humvee variant has been specialized in airborne operations. Nearly half of its frame has been removed and was modified resulting in a much lower weight while still maintaining much of its resilience. They are a great way of providing fire support and its speed can give its passengers a window to escape should the vehicle become excessively damaged.
