Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
After years frowning at lethal if not deadly accidents with infantry carelessly firing out the windows of the vehicle, US Army has forbidden their troops to attack the enemy this way claiming it to be unsafe and has encouraged the development of better onboard weapon systems to the Humvee.
The new model can also be fitted with a manned TOW launcher capable of reducing armored targets to mere scraps. The launcher can be easily and quickly assembled even in combat conditions with minimal set up time. The TOW launcher leaves no room for the machine gun and its electronic sensors however, only allowing generals to customize their Humvees for a single role.

i have to sayt i don't like tihs. i preffer the ol humvee as it has both fire ports AND can be equipped with machinegun AND missiles.
all this has done is make it weaker and more useless. especially as the tow IS NO LONGER A univesal upgrade...
This TOW packs a punch it can take out a crusader... With low HP afterward.
The entire point of removing the fireports was to stop the 'lameveeing' that had become a hugely overused and overpowered USA strategy and to replace it with the mobile but not all-powerful support unit that the Humvee was always intended to be.

Yeah, I agree with CommanderJRB on this one. Loading hummers with infantry was cool but became kinda the standard playing USA. Now you have to rethink your strategy with no fire ports. I'll still miss it though hehe.
