Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
These facilities can hold over a hundred dangerous prisoners and have the personnel to interrogate dozens at any given time. They attract a lot of criticism from the media and human rights activists. Commanders who desire to build one of these structures must be willing to weather the inevitable backlash but may benefit greatly by gaining key intelligence about their opponents.
take a photo...... this is so so wrong
none of the structures in the game are massively realistic so...
the building looks good just not the idea of a so called "POW" camp
Well, if some one created extremely realistic buildings, they would be far more larger then this Detention Camp. And the garage is very small to it could only be used for storage or atleast have some motor cycle's in it.
we dont know the full size yet? it maybe bigger may not but u make a good point!
It's the same model as in generals so the size will remain that small.
damn it!!!
Its time for a prison break!
yep, can I keep prisoners? or it has the same role as in Generals?
its happen! :( a - make on the RotR mod (never thought i see the day ='( )
IMO good for game play, bad for taste/choose
its only for spy or there is something else ?
The old POW Camp is back lol
Yea... I agree... maybe the function of this structure will different from the last time we use.
It will. This time around, it'll actually be useful! In addition to providing the 'CIA Intelligence' power (like in Vanilla Generals), in the next release, you'll need to build this to unlock certain USA technologies (the Pathfinder, for example, which currently is rather overpowered at a Rank 1 pre-tech Generals Ability slot).
wow in the description is says attracts a lot of criticism...........
Guess the use of this old building is what is from
LOL :D
You do know Guantanamo's gonna close?
Just as well this isn't Guantanamo then. POWs are a fact in any war - this just chooses to recognise it.
I have to hand it to ya piper, you just made me laugh.
(buried)
the dif of PoW and US PoW, are one is for PoW and the US use it for torture under the name of "PoW" its why i never like the idea of this in the first place!
That's a heavily political comment and we don't like them on our mod pages any more than we like them on our forums. You've stated you don't like it, fine, deal with it, it's not going to go away just because of that. You don't have to build it any more than you have to play the rest of the mod, you're just going to find it hard playing without it.
i didnt say i wouldnt build it! its a game after all, just the idea is a little meh
Oh yeah, the U.s. always tortures POW's..... you know whats funny about that, "Terriosts" are not considered POW's there considered "Detainee's" hence the name "Detention center" and "terriosts" don't fall under the rights of the Geneva convention, so.... in all honesty, No the U.s. does not torture POW's not even those who are not truly POW's, yeah those people in Guantanamo screwed up, but you think every other country is great when it comes to dealing with enemy prisoner's ?
As of December 2012 Gitmo is still open for business, Deal with it!
Is it released on 1.2?
Nope
Aw.
Does it have air-cons for my GLA and Russian prisoners?
any info on the backlash?
It's just lore to make it sound more interesting than it really is.
oh so no effect on the game kk
This ain't new, its bringing back old models from Generals... EA changed these models for a reason because ZH was supposed to fix the multitude of problems from Generals.
Man, i want to torture th enemy conscripts here!!!
wait...can this keep enemy soldiers?(and how to.)
Its only function in-game is as a research centre.
Now I realize that the buildings in c&c gzh is so small like toys.. ^_^
what the heck were they thinking making this a tec center?
too bad ea removed this in zero hour....
It was not politically correct for the oh-so-glorious-usa.
EA games are politically biased because they also have contracts and sponsoship with US airforce and such, for example. (also, MODDB has them too)
