Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
This flying Beast is a Tank Driver's greatest Nightmare. Not only does it enact anti-armor missiles to deal with tanks quickly, it is also capable of mowing infantry down with it's heavy machine guns.
so whats the difference between the two versions? toughness and armament wise.
If you read the description for both of them, you'd realize that the Blackshark is faster.
It will probably have some other differences, but at the moment that info is classified.
you know what, i didn't even read the comment box. its a shame many mods don't put anthing there and i forget about it completely. thanks.
Well, now ya know.
Just remember, we always put descriptions there, because we care.
whats is the different between Hind and KA?
This is the prototype of the BLACKSHARK, i readed on the internet: that the WEREWOLF is a prototype
The Werewolf is a semi-unofficial name awarded to the Ka-50 by non-NATO Western observers. It was too good a tag to pass up, though!
plez teach me how to download this awesome version....huhuhuhu..hopely
sounds great...
but where are the machine guns???
It has one 30mm 2A42 cannon, effectively the same one as that used on the BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle. The cannon is mounted on the bottom right-hand side of the fuselage and extends forward to the nose. It's in a semi-rigid mount, so it can only aim slightly off-axis from wherever the helicopter's nose is pointed. This is however not a handicap, as the cannon aiming system is tied into the helmet and is directly integrated into the flight control system, meaning that the pilot can just point his head at the target and the helicopter will follow! Not only that, but the Ka-50 is so agile that it will rotate the whole airframe as fast as the turret on the AH-64 or Mi-28 can turn!
WILL PLEASE SOMEONE ADD BASIC COUNTERMEASURES TO RUSSIAN BIRDS IN ORDER TO BALANCE THEM? I THINK PRICE/POWER BALANCE IS LITTLE BIT UNJUSTIFIED. THEY'RE STILL EXPENSIVE EVEN AFTER MASS PRODUCTION AND DON;T HAVE ANY COUNTERMEASURES TO DEFEND THEM. THE WEREWOLF'S CANNON IS ALSO ALMOST USELESS ONE. MY OPINION.
well, russians finest. but according to my knowlegde only special forces like OMON etc. will get them. the regular army will have mi28 instead.
OMON are an internal military police unit more akin to SWAT than anything else, so they don't get heavy ordnance like the Ka-50. In real life the Black Shark has actually gone out of production, and its successor, the Ka-52 Alligator, has only been procured in small units for actual army special forces such as various Spetsnaz units - but this is after all a game.
OMON strike police force
SOBR special police force , like SWAT
Thanks for the info, but there is still no real other equivalent to OMON in the Western world even if it doesn't match up completely.
OMON WOULD BE TRANSLATED AS PARTICULAR TASK POLICE SQUAD. IT'S MAINLY A RIOT AND CRIMINAL POLICE.
ARE THERE ANY PLANS TO ADD ANTI-AIR MISSILES TO THIS BEAST? IN REALITY KAs CAN BE EQUIPPED WITH AA MISSILES.
so many rockets!
Sweet
What kind of rockets are those?
Not werewolf - "Black Shark" his name or "Chernaya Akula".
