Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.

Unless your foe either aims blind (which wouldn't be very smart) or goes in with a recon unit, yes.

I employed a couple of these just outside an opposing Hard AI-run U.S. base on skirmish mode. 2 Blackout Nodes hiding a half dozen VDV transports and roughly four or five times that in personnel. Kept their Particle Cannons off my supply networks with another four of 'em, and locked them out of my secondary base with another three. Needless to say, I think the Blackout Node is a Very Good Thing, for people who wish to keep the errant paradrop from finding its' way into your base.

This will be ( as it was in ra2 and in shockwave ) verry annoing when the ai uses it, as you will see that huge round black circle on the map.

Correct, it didn't exist as a structure in ShockWave; but Prince Kassad did, however, have an upgrade for his Radar Trucks which gave them much the same effect only mobile.

Would you ever make this mobile? Like on ra1

Nope. It was in ShockWave, and the SWR team likes to preserve uniqueness.

No idea TBH. You could post your question on the forum and see if the devs will answer it, though.

I think you guys should create a CIA agent for the USA, that can hijack enemy vehicles. Also I think a Russian Spetsnaz that can hijack, and a Black Lotus that can hijack would be good because the 3 factions have virtually no way to steal enemy technology with out this little change...

A shame they removed the Neutron Shells from the Chinese... I would build a pair of Nuke Cannons, arm the Neutron Shells, and park 'em just outside the enemy base with 4 Troop Crawlers and another 4 Overlords (2 Gats, 2 Speakers), and bombard the enemy vehicle populous as they exited the base, stealing easily 10-16 vehicles for my trouble (local defenses damaging or destroying my acquisitions made it a bit touch'n'go.)

Description

The Blackout Node is one of the latest fruits from the Federation’s labor in anti-intelligence warfare. The Blackout Node sends extremely volatile signals that jam communications and sensors making the whole area appear on sensors as if it was a void of space. These are rumored to have kept the European Continental Army unaware of the build-up of Russian forces along the border.
