Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
The Nighthawk is one quickly aging bird but it is still in service. Despite several design flaws and an exuberant price they are the only stealth attacker the United States Air Force has. Despite these shortcomings the Nighthawk is still one of the most feared aircraft around.
very impressive. lovin it.
im guessing those 2 red dots are for laser tracking?
maybe...or a light ??haha..LOL..
Passive IR sensors most likely.
laser aiming module i think....like SCAR in Crysis....hehe
That is such a big improvement:)
wow it still the same weapon right
Yes, though Bunker Busters is now a much more useful upgrade than before.
Finally, I remember in the original that I had to work hard to have that upgrade actually be useful. It was fun though when you get a random infantry to fly up past the screen though, but that's just me!
Great model and texture, but (though I'm not sure), i think the F-22 is stealth. i may very well be wrong
It is, but I think it would be redundant for America to have that much stealth in-game.
Sorry for the double posts, I really need to start reading all the replies before I make one...
the F-22 has a stealth profile making it harder to detect than others but it isn't a full stealth capability like the F-117 and the B2 which are essentially invisible to radar.

Nice one Hunter, another in a long line of great models
Not quite correct. Because of the vast advancement in stealth technology and computer design since the F-117A and B-2A were developed in the late 70s and early 80s, the F-22A, despite having a less 'ideal' geometrical shape, is able to present a smaller frontal radar cross section. It possesses full all-aspect stealth and, while no plane is totally 'invisible' to radar, its signature is so small and so difficult to detect that it has annihilated thousands of F-16s and F-15s piloted by the US's best in the most lopsided scenarios that can be envisioned.
Rise of the Reds, however, is not real-life. In-game the Raptor has no stealth, leaving the Nighthawk (which has already retired from USAF service IRL, with its role to be taken over by the F-35 Lightning II) as the only stealth attacker just like the lore says. This can best be explained as the result of a need to mass-produce Raptors that has led to their ridiculously costly stealth technology being eliminated (Raptors can cost up to a quarter of a billion each) to allow for production in the numbers in-game (IRL there are only going to be 183 built and that'll be it - a tiny production run compared to the ~750 envisioned in the ATF programme which produced their design).
I love it!
hmm.... i expected the nighthawk to be out of the game by now since it has retired in the US Air Force... no offense guys
i also expected something like the F-35 to make an appearance due to the war and stuff... you know... stopping to sell the F-35 and put it into service in the US Air Force
IRL the F-35 will be inducted in the USAF in huge numbers of well over two thousand units cumulative between services (F-35A for the USAF + F-35B for the USMC + F-35C for the USN) as the largest U.S. military acquisition in history, so it's certainly not just an export aircraft. As I have already said above, however, Rise of the Reds is not real life and runs in the Generals universe instead, where the Nighthawks were not retired (remember normal Generals takes place in 2012-2014, so it's already overshot their retirement date), presumably because their stealth is more effective. Thus, as we are an enhancement for ZH and not a conversion, it stays. But looks nice while doing so.
What's the difference with the one in shockwave?
Not a lot, though it has a different weapon in-game.
C&C Generals was released before Operation Iraqi Freedom began (02-2003), where the Nighthawks are still in full action...
In the RotR world, the F-117 could have been upgraded so it stlll has the stealthy edge over the Raptor (and the Lightning II as well).
Shiney, always gotta build these aircraft when playing USA.
the nighthawks pretty cool, but i agree with the other guys, F-35...F-35...F-35!!!!
Nice texturing... good job!
why didn't you put some serbian forces, they were the only ones to destroy that aircraft in real world
I think you guys should make it undetectable to air defences. It should be detectable only by stealth detecting units - thus fulfilling its stealth capability
Well this plane wont pass trough Serbia thats for sure
Sorry! We didn't know it was invisible!
