You know, looking at your planet textures makes me incredibly sad, because i keep realizing, that your mod takes place after the Sun Crusher "incident"...

You are sad because you can't use said weapon to destroy said planets?

No, i'm sad because one of my favourite Imperial planets is just a pile of asteroids at this point

cardia was destroyed by well a rouge jedi trainie with the sun crusher. it was revenge for the imperials throwing Kype Duran into the spice mines, murdering his parents, and conscripting his brother into imperial forces as a stormtrooper.

the imperials lied and told him that his brother died on a training missions and so kype set the sun to blow up. only to fine out with minutes to spare that the imperial has lied and his brother was alive. he raced to the planet in an attempt to save his brother from his mistake and instead was forced to watch as his brother and the entire planet was disintegrated.

the force has a sense of irony

Thanks for filling the gaps a bit. I read as much on the wiki as well. I know a lot about Star Wars lore but there is SO much that one can't know all of it :)

Description

Alzoc III is a frozen world located in the outer rim, inhabited by the native Talz species. Because of it's distant location, Alzoc III remained undiscovered until the Galactic Civil War, when Imperial scouts spotted a fairly undeveloped world, rich in untapped resources...and a native, sentient species able to extract those resources for them. The Empire descended on the world and secretly enslaved the planet, intentionally keeping it off all star charts so that there wouldn't be competition for the vast amounts of ores available on the world (and to keep the Rebellion from coming to the aid of the enslaved Talz people).

In time, the existence of the world was made public when the Rebellion recovered secret Imperial documents that made mention of it. In 7 ABY, the planet was liberated and eventually, the New Republic would acquire trade deals with the Talz, who now owned the mines the Empire had formerly controlled.

In-game, control of this planet will reduce the cost of vehicle and starship construction by a small margin, due to the abundance of raw materials mined from the planet.
