Are you going to add more diversity to them aside from colours? They could still with different guns, rangefinders, kamas, extended pauldrons, gorgets, etc to differentiate them from each other.

There will be some variation, as with all infantry. What you see here is just the base model. I haven't decided what variations I want to include yet.

Capes or any kind of free flowing cloth would be extremely hard to animate with the jetpack/flying animations. I'm thinking maybe different helmet attachments like head crests, sun visors or something "pilot-like", etc.

Are those immense DH-17s?

They are DH17s. However, they aren't too oversized really. The DH17 is technically a blaster "pistol" but it's really about the same size as a blaster rifle...just with a short barrel. I could stand to scale it down just a tad though.

Why did you choose the DH-17?

Short answer: Because it's one of my favorite SW weapons.

Yep! These guys are actually the very last Mandalorian unit that needed to be complete too :)

In fact, the only units left now are the Rebel Infiltrator and the Remnant hero Tamith Kai. Getting sooooo close!

Favorite unit bar none. I legit did a happy dance after I sent in 5 full units into a New Republic base and they razed it to the ground in under 30 seconds. (Against Easy AI, but still SO Awesome!)

Description

The best of the best from every clan has the chance to be chosen as a Mandalorian Protector. These elite troops are selected by Boba Fett himself based on their aptitude and loyalty to serve close by his side. Most Protectors are equipped with jetpacks and as such, often choose lighter armor and arms so as to get the most effective use out of their specialized pack.

In-game, these units will act as the "special forces" of the Mandalorian infantry. Rather than field snipers as the other factions do, I thought that the Protectors would be more appropriate for the Mandalorians. While they don't attack from a range like snipers, their jetpacks allow them to quickly close any distance but additionally, they can make a much quicker escape than snipers should the situation become...less than favorable.
