An expansion/overhaul mod of epic proportions, with entirely rebalanced gameplay, expanded factions, new gametypes, graphical overhauls, and five new factions; stealth-based Confederate Revolutionaries, tower defense-inspired Atomic Kingdom of China, economy-focused Mediterranean Syndicate, DotA-esque Order of the Talon and spammy Electrical Protectorate.
We're almost done .92, after we figured out exactly what we wanted to do with it. Here we have a full Allied defense line; the gate, which keeps enemies out but lets you through, the Reduct shotgun bunker, a cheap modular tower with a limit arc and upgradable components, and the TX supertower, the Proton Turret, which may rotate extremely slowly but is capable of shattering any unit which does not get out of the way!

I wonder is the proton turret can outrange artillery? If its that huge it must do .
Maybe... that may be OP having an anti artillery tower, but if itturnsslowly and artillery are hot on their feet, it might work.

Its probably going to just be normal tower range- since artillery range towers would be stupid overpowered.
Not at all. Check out "The Forgotten", they have an artillery tower with a big price tag, it takes a lot of space and has a rather high minimum range making it balanced. Then again it's the only defense that deals EMP, which they need to build up a good defense.
There needs to be some counter to turtling, and if there is a tower to counter artillery, the faction needs another built-in weakness when turtling- which would be difficult to balance.

It certainly looks like it was.
atleast it is supposed to be an turret mounted version of the harbinger gunship's proton cannon.
In fact, it was inspired by the Sonic Cannon from CNC3.
So, how will the gate work? Will it be open or closed by using the special ability, or will it only open for your own units?
