An expansion/overhaul mod of epic proportions, with entirely rebalanced gameplay, expanded factions, new gametypes, graphical overhauls, and five new factions; stealth-based Confederate Revolutionaries, tower defense-inspired Atomic Kingdom of China, economy-focused Mediterranean Syndicate, DotA-esque Order of the Talon and spammy Electrical Protectorate.

My initial look at your mod was favorable, although i did have a few issues that im sure you could fix/explain

1. Achillies voiceover. - The voiceover is okay, however he definately needs a voice distortion and dampener, and a death speech ("MiG fighter going down"). A good sound editing suite is FL Studio 8. It is a big download and the full version costs... heaps (the budget version is $50) however it dosnt have a time limiter, you just cant save BUT you can export, so you can still make professional stuff, just hibernate instead of shutting down (which i do anyway as it saves the windows i have open, you dont get those annoying start up windows and its faster to get to the desktop)....
Anyways it nees a distortion so that it sounds like the voice is going through a mic headseat in a fighter aircraft, not from some dude on a computer next to you.

2. Dogs. - Now i understand why a dog might need a cooldown, balance issues and stuff, however the fact is that this cooldown makes them next to useless, i used to be able to send a dog into a group of 3-4 units and come out wounded but yapping. NOW they get eaten up one one unit is down. mabey a .3 to .5 cooldown would be better. And if you could get them to be able to move while on cooldown that would be sweet. Why would a dog stand around for a second after it just went for the jugular.

3. Icons. - Yeah yeah you probably know this but they really really need their quality kicked up a knotch, they just look blurry and ugly next to the shiny RA3 westwood icons (yes i know they were aten up by EA but heck if im going to forgive them for that. (btw im using a 22' inch monitor so it could just be resolution issues)

But even though i have been typing nonstop about these "faults" i see, you have otherwise created an extrodanairy mod and im actually proud to have downloaded it!

Keep up the good work guys!

p.s. is it possible that natasha / tanya in a IFV would absolutely raep Syndacite?

1) Achilles voiceover was a quick job done because we wanted to release the minimod that night (though the plan failed anyway). It'll be fixed in due time.

2) I haven't done a THING with dogs so I don't know what you're talking about.

3) EA has concept artists drawing high-quality stuff for them. We have one person who kinda likes to draw sometimes. I mean, would you rather have work done on the mod, or would you rather have pretty pictures to click on? I understand that the transition is a little jarring, but there's nothing we can do about it.

4) Natasha/Tanya IFVs won't be particularly special against the Syndicate because they have plenty of unit transports that their guys can shoot out of... not to mention garrisons. And hey, there are plenty of ways to wipe out commandos if you see them coming.

In reply to #1:
Hey, I was the person who did the voice recording (and the voices themselves) and I'll let you know that we didn't put the effects in because of time constraints. I've been using Fruity Loops since 2006 for music-making (see our mod videos section to listen), but it takes quite a long time to cut the file up. There are 23 unique voice files for the Achilles, and it would have pushed the mod release back by another day if we had added the effects.

further problems/bugs/features:
1 the achilles model is on the ground when doing formation.

2it looks wierd taking off/landing because it has no landing animation , nor does it take off like real planes.

3it simply appears on the airpad when the doors open.

4 it clips the door when landing.

5 the slipstream in the wing lips doesn't match

6 when it blows up in mid air the debris is from an apollo

7 the apollo, mig and maybe tengu as well flies too fast when turning

but all that is just nit picking.

ps, it's amazing that it can beat a kirov in three bursts when elite or even Take out six tengus unscaved.

The enemy is battlehardened, experienced and are fanatics.

They believe the gods are on their side, but let them believe what they want. We have tanks on our side.

1. We've got a solution for that. It's a model issue we didn't notice before. Did you know that other air units have a special model with a long stick on the bottom purely for this purpose? Now you know!

2. We're working on making it take off like a normal plane, but it's difficult to do in this engine and without knowing what the Locomotor bits do. There are a bunch of values that SEEM like they'd pull it off but when they're changed, I honestly can't tell what the difference is.

3. All aircraft do that. You just can't tell because the doors open slowly.

4. See #2, we're trying to make it land like a plane.

5. Huh? I thought I fixed that ages ago. Must've forgotten to save. Anyway, we've got that settled.

6. We need to model the individual bits for every unit that explodes. It's annoying, but true. I kinda just want it to crash and explode instead of popping in midair (the explosion being part of the risk of going through the alt tier), but we'll see how it goes.

7. Apollo and Tengu, yes. They don't fire NEARLY enough shots per strafing run. We're working on that. The MiG is fine because it fires a missile each run.

Edit: Gonna do a little more testing, just in case.
I'm not sure if this is because I was in campaign mode when I tested this, but the Achilles didn't seem very powerful without the Aerial upgrade.
In fact, the Achilles usually ended up tying (Read: Losing) against a MiG in a fair 1v1 fight.
However, I think that if I had one more test, I could get more accurate results.
So check back with that.
