R.E.A.R.M. - "Rearmament Expansion And Redesign Mod" is an unofficial Homeworld 2 expansion and it adds number of new interesting and various units.
First off, feel free to delete, or move this to the REARM site instead Pouk.
This is the modular destroyer collection that Pouk released earlier, rearranged and manipulated into an 8:5 ratio (widescreen) for use as a wallpaper. It's scale is 2560x1600, so nearly all sizes of widescreen owners should be able to use this. I created this for personal use, and am posting it here as a courtesy to other REARM fans.
For those with cunning eyes, see if you can spot the largest difference between this and the original image set.
I take no credit in creating (capturing, cropping, rescaling, post processing) the original images.
-Hell Diguner-
Nice surprise.
At first sight I can't spot any difference, except the arrangement of course.
this pleases me immensely
I second that.
I bless this picture with holy water
The bottom right shot is to die for O_O! Nice job with the ss's!
Or to die from. :)
Okay, I guess it's too hard to spot the difference without a hint. It's in the bottom left picture. And no, it isn't something rediculously insignificant like a light being a diffent shade of color, or a batch of pixels being different. It would be a pretty large difference, if it had been exaggerated more. But it isn't pronounced much at all, and so isn't noticeable.
some of the lights are different, but I can't spot anything else until I'll get back to my PC with Photoshop.
Yeah, NVM it's not significant enough to spot. I used liquid rescaling to resize the images slighly to make them fit the proper aspect ratio, and the program deleted several lines between the two destroyers in the bottom left picture. So they appear closer together (the back one shifted to the left by ten pixels I believe).
The other places that one could potentially notice a difference from the liquid rescaling is the third one down on the right. Some of the flashing lights in the right of that pic are a little closer together, and the dust particles in the second picture from the top, on the right side are also closer together.
Finally one of the plasma bombers in the third picture on the left is physically closer to the other bombers than it previously was.
I used liquid rescaling so I could change the image ratio without streaching or squashing the image, and so I didn't have to manually delete about a hundred lines of pixels (which would have looked bad).
Interresting.
I am really liking the idea of modular destroyers. Would add a lot to the tactical mix.
