RA3: A Scout's Victory is a mod that will bring an experience to the game. It will bring a slower feel to the game while hopefully keeping or even improving on tactical play while attempting to keep the laid-back feel. As the name suggests it will attempt to make scouting and intelligence an even more important role in the game. Armors for all units and structures will be closer to realism but not so close that it might become a nuisance. Income will broaden giving more available ways to obtain money, however, at the same time money will be obtained at a slower rate.
ArmorSets (Increasing left-to-right):
Today (or tomorrow) I will spend a bit of time actually giving the units and structures these ArmorSets (spent what little time I had yesterday creating them). I'm sure I'll have some issues with the fact I deleted all the others haha, so I might end up having to restore those for integrity purposes.
Plans:
* - Keep in mind on the suggestions that I'm aiming for a unique experience, so don't be offended if I don't like your suggestion or choose not to use it, I would appreciate suggestions once I release the mod (or even before). Just keep in mind this isn't a balance mod!
I'm going to try and keep a note of what I'm currently working on and why here. This will be updated regularly, sometimes even daily. Once I've complete...
Below is a list of plans/goals to accomplish both before and after releasing the mod. This will allow you to view general features as well as track progress...
I did just do some work on the mod, it isn't dead haha. Just have been busy with other things. I recreated the Armor Types to be miles simpler (e.g. Structures resemble a RA2 style Wood|Metal|Stone|Wall are the types).
I'll be implementing them in the next few days across all units (won't take me that long, but it'll take me that long to find the time). After that I'll be play-testing for a bit to see where I want to take the mod from there.
hi Hectic
Can you plz plz add "no super weapon option"? :(
I most likely will, however; part of me wants to for the Superweapons on this mod since I'm building more around them and actually giving them some considerations. It will be significantly harder to build them even if I don't though (given the fact that money will be slower and harder to come-by).
ILLUNMINATE
Will you change some of the look of the units ingame? Just a textura change to them and minimizing team colours can help a lot. Good luck with your project, RA3 needs some active and/or finished mods.
I'd like to, but I'm unfamiliar with texturing/modelling. So if I were to learn and do that it'd be a post-release patch/change.
