Long ago, when the word 'Hiigara' rang only as a hollow dream, the kiith of Kharak never imagined they would walk the Path to Victory. But, when they reclaimed their Homeworld and proclaimed themselves 'Hiigaran', they believed they had reached their goal. How wrong they were. 150 years after Hiigaran landfall, conflict rages across the Galaxy... Path to Victory is a multiplayer and skirmish mod for Homeworld 2 that adds new units to both Vaygr and Hiigaran Races as well as enabling the Keepers, Raiders and Kadeshi as playable races.
Ever since Captain Triol had started up his own band of pirates and set out on a quest for gold and glory on a lonely Thief Corvette, he'd idolizes the Warfleets that ploughed through the Vaygr Reaches. Powerful, determined and efficient, they were devoted to one purpose alone: War.
Triol always found it laughable how everyone - even his own men - were more afraid of the Hiigaran Empire than these huge warfleets. The Empire was made for a time of peace and easy prey. The Vaygr, no they were something else entirely.
And so he had made it his life's goal to measure himself with the greatest warriors he knew. After hundreds of battles against these fierce people, Captain Triol has gained a self-proclaimed reputation as a 'True Warrior' and carries the symbol of his greatest nemesis on his flagship, a trophy of years of combat, built from pieces of his vanquished foes' space vessels.
Of course, Captain Triol has never actually faced a full fledged Vaygr Warfleet. Those, even this brave pirate cpatain fears like the plague...
Several weeks - or was it months - ago I showed you the Hiigaran Trophy for the Turanic Raiders. Trophies are visual upgrades that grant minor bonuses to your Lord Carriers. They are unlocked after killing a certain number of enemy ships - ships 50'000 RU worth of kills. What tropies you get unlocked depend on what enemy races were or still are in the game.
The vaygr trophy looks a little silly there...
Yeah I wouldn't put it on that particullar place either, if I should be honest.
But I have to tell you Mololu, that you have a great skill to add a cool backstory to everything. Everyone playing PtV should read about those little details, about noise shells and enemy symbols forged from destroyed enemy vessels...
I hope you've got them all in your manual.
To elaborate on the position: We attempted several positions. As the trophies end up in different places and are not allowed to interfere with the function of the ship, this was decided to be the best solution for a V-shape.
I can assure you the manual will have a lot more little stories here and there.
Right, I get it. You have a good reason to have it there because of other trophies, turrets, capture and repair points etc...
+ it somehow reminds me of him: Simplywallpaper.net
so it's way to awesome to be placed somewhere else XD
Funny how everybody outside the team doesn't seem to like my idea....
Hehe....this is the Pirate of the Galaxy series....
The Vaygr trophy seems like an (America Native) Indian Crown.
oh Mololu, Not to try and put pressure on you but estimate on next release?
Alpha 0.0.7
It's out!
Vagyr: space vikings
Goat-throwing Viking Ship? Hellz yeah!
You forgot that the goats have to explode on impact.
i like this :)
Don't really like trophy's place and condition. I mean – it's sign that pirate is better... and somehow it is in such place and in good condition. It was much better with Hiigaran trophy – placed on side, with burn mark. And with Vaygr on such place it seems like it'll overshadow anything else and generally more fit rearm's Raiders that are Vaygr's allies.
What happens if some vaygr BC decides he doesn't like that pretty li'l thing and fires his trinity cannon at it?
It takes damage =D
...
I love this idea. Hooray space pirate bunnies!
