Long ago, when the word 'Hiigara' rang only as a hollow dream, the kiith of Kharak never imagined they would walk the Path to Victory. But, when they reclaimed their Homeworld and proclaimed themselves 'Hiigaran', they believed they had reached their goal. How wrong they were. 150 years after Hiigaran landfall, conflict rages across the Galaxy... Path to Victory is a multiplayer and skirmish mod for Homeworld 2 that adds new units to both Vaygr and Hiigaran Races as well as enabling the Keepers, Raiders and Kadeshi as playable races.
ARCLight was a weapons project started shortly after the Beast Wars in an attempt to reverse-engineer the technology used in the Siege Cannon by Kiith Somtaaw. Running for years in utter secrecy, few had actually heard of ARCLight until a few years ago when the first prototypes were tested at the Galactic Core.
Rather than leading to a duplication of the Siege Cannon technology, Kiith S'jet was able to develop an advanced plasma-based weapon with similar traits to the Siege Cannon but with substantially lower power requirements. Scaled down, these weapons could be fit into a standard Hiigaran Battlecruiser chassis.
While in no way as deadly as the original Siege Cannon that Kiith Somtaaw salvaged - and have apparently since lost - these ARCLight systems can deal incredible damage to tightly packed enemy fleets at a long range and even out the Battlecruiser's one on one performance against competing Capital Ships such as the Vaygr Battlecruiser or Kadeshi Avatar.

Actually I'm not going to lie the pink looks kind of cool, space is full of lot's of different things you don't see everyday, why leave certain specrtums of light out? you could make a revamped garden of Kadesh actually.
For the "Heart of the Galaxy" part?

Random thought conjured by Ryuseimaru's comment, kind of a funny easter egg, what if you put the Heart of Gold from the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy in. Lol would be funny.
Blue is sadly taken by the somtaaw energy cannons which have a similar FX (backstory being them being plasma based weapons). Due to that, I can't really have s'jet using the same color which is why I chose pink. It actually looks better on backgrounds that aren't this bright - which is most of the maps in PTV.
