Long ago, when the word 'Hiigara' rang only as a hollow dream, the kiith of Kharak never imagined they would walk the Path to Victory. But, when they reclaimed their Homeworld and proclaimed themselves 'Hiigaran', they believed they had reached their goal. How wrong they were. 150 years after Hiigaran landfall, conflict rages across the Galaxy... Path to Victory is a multiplayer and skirmish mod for Homeworld 2 that adds new units to both Vaygr and Hiigaran Races as well as enabling the Keepers, Raiders and Kadeshi as playable races.

This frigate doesn't really excell at anything but is known for being effective against corvettes. It's primary role is just to spray bullets all over the place...

LOL this thing is a must have(for me i like spraying bullets all over the place).

The Gunslinger is a real joy to watch in a fight xD

Initially it fired so fast HW2 started to become unplayable. it's been toned down a bit but still damn impressive with it's fire rate.

I can't say I've ever seen any large spaceship with a gigantic gatling gun as the primary spinally fixed weapon... good job on originality there. I gotta ask though, what's with the fin underneith? Looks like uneeded weight to me, if I were a pirate.

It's basically a doodad addon so it looks better and serves for 'maneuverability' *cough*.

there's supposed to be a munitins drum down there too with some rounds hanging out etc. but I didn't get round to modeling it yet so the fin got slapped on instead.

Description

Two more ships to show off... *ahem* I mean to show you.

These two frigates required capture enemy tech to build (no, I'm not telling you what but you can guess). Each has a fairly defined role and while neither frigate is exactly state of the art, they are important to the raiders.

The Gunslinger Frigate is essentially an Outlaw with the pod bay replaced with a single huge gattling weapon. This frigate doesn't really excell at anything but is known for being effective against corvettes. It's primary role is just to spray bullets all over the place and be a general nuisance to anything caught in front of it.

The Assassin Ion Array Frigate is a far more percice frigate. Using it's ion arrays, the Assassin can fire an extremely accurate Ion Beam at considerable distance. It's designed to support raider fleets from afar. The Assassin is best used in flanking maneuvers where it can hit enemy ships from angles where their armor is the weakest.

Raider Warlords are advised not to use Assassins up close. Poor maneuverability and lack of any real defensive guns make it vulnerable to very small or very large ships - and don't expect the rear gun to do much good. The gunners tend to be drunk on the job.
