Ive been working on replacing all of the old boxy models with stuff more fitting the NovaCor theme. NovaCor is meant to be a throwback to old school FPS games, but maintains its own style while doing so. I felt the old blocky server models (among others) were just too darn boxy and just didnt fit in with the rest of the Mod's overall aesthetic theme.
So here is the 2nd new server/equpiment model, the first being pictured some time ago in a set of Labwork screens. This model, however, was designed specifically for the Tech map that I have been focusing on recently.
Its animated; the green indicator lights at the top pulse in two different styles, as well as a red lit skin to indicate failure.
Indicate failure? Can you shoot them to make them break or something?
I could make them 'explodable' and with inputs/outputs, easily make them damagable, but probably wont. Some will be offline due to the stationwide emergency.
Cool, what is the sort of rusty looking reflection mainly visible in the other 2 pix ?
The Source SDK model viewer adds its own odd reflections; theres nothing I can do about it. Its not there in-game though :)Its reflective, but not rusty brown.
