No one can recall quite how it happened, but at some point there was another world war and after the bombs fell, the Earth was left in ruins. The former Yugoslavian republic of Serbia suffered massive devastation to it's land, but the great capital of Belgrade although damaged severely, had survived the conflict...
This is the gas mask the player will use when exploring ruined Belgrade. It's the default Paranoia code with new graphics. I made the outline larger so you can see more, I wanted a good balance between being able to see things properly and being slightly claustrophobic...

However I have to admit that I never really liked wearing fov-limiting stuff in games. The gasmask in Paranoia was one example.
But I guess you just have to get used to it.
Yeah I get you and thankfully the gas mask is used only twice for about 30 seconds in Paranoia.
I thought about having it like in Metro 2033 where you've just got the screen but then I'd need to have the same type of gas mask and it'd feel like copying so I decided to go with the goggles just with less presence of the inside mask!
I think you will get used to it pretty quickly anyway!
