Comanche
The Comanche is the UN's attack helicopter, a light, fast air-support unit. It also shares an ability with the M1A3 and Brummbar, which we'll go over in a future update.

Spy Drone
One of the UN support powers is the ability to call in a Spy Drone to permanently hover over part of the map, granting a wide area of vision for you and giving a slight range and firing rate boost to nearby friendly aircraft. The drone is also armed with a couple air-to-air missiles to add some moderate air defense when needed.

F-35
The F-35 is the UN's general purpose fighter, usually used to defend the skies from enemy aircraft. However if needed you can switch the payload to bombs to deal moderate ground damage. At the airfield you can also research an upgrade which speeds up the reload rate for the F-35 and the Requiem (detailed in a future post). The GOI's MiG also has a similar reload-speed upgrade you can get at their airfield now as well.

Black Gold
Here are a couple of screens from the new 8 player map added in R2, 'Black Gold'. It is a large map, and at the start of the game promotes a rush to grab all the fuel trucks that are placed in the center of the map. This is especially useful for GOI players and their 'Export Oil' ability...or for players who wish to use them as makeshift demo trucks (however if it doesn't fully kill them, means you just delivered free fuel trucks to the enemy).

MEC2 was partially made to echo Generals (we did re-use a couple units from it, ie; the medibot is based on an unused Generals concept), and we do re-use some logic from it. More importantly though our unit and superweapon design did try to emulate the RA2/Generals style.
