The Maelstrom Mod introduces four new races to the Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion Universe. They are independent of the original races and have unique strengths and weaknesses. Maelstrom is available for Rebellion, Diplomacy, Entrenchment and Original Sins.

but hey, where are the battleship, carrier, support and unique capital ships?
I knew they would eventually stop fighting eachother and fight the tec, etc...
my god the pirates have better looking capital ships than the playable races anyone else think the same
The pirate ships, for R5, will be from HW2. The models are great but the texture resolution is not quite as good as Sins ... they have a more 'grungy' look about them, as befitting pirates

I never was a fan of some of your older content that heavily reused meshes from stock sins ships, so I enjoyed it when you pushed out your new ship designs (that seemed mostly original or put together from Sins ships so subtly I didn't notice). But this...
I do love HW2, especially the Vagyr Battlecruiser, but I think this made me die a little on the inside. Guess I can be lucky you didn't use the Hig Destroyer as well.
Don't get me wrong, I dislike reusing meshes from stock games or other projects in geneal, this is no animosity dedicated towards you guys personally. I just hope you get someone to create something original for you to use, preferrably soon.
Don't get wrong but ... I am the only developer of this mod, as such you can imagine how much time has gone into making it. Creating models takes a lot of time ... I just haven't got any ...
I have some basic knowledge and know how much time it takes to create proper models. As I said, this is not meant to be a personal attack.
However I guess you're putting up those pictures not only to show off progress, but also to get constructive criticism. Because of this I wrote my comment, to let you know that if you are using those models I would prefer if it only was temporary.
You are right "progress, but also to get constructive criticism" and I don't mind either. Also I realize different people can have different options. I like the models ... I can always leave the original models in the game
