The Maelstrom Mod introduces four new races to the Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion Universe. They are independent of the original races and have unique strengths and weaknesses. Maelstrom is available for Rebellion, Diplomacy, Entrenchment and Original Sins.

The Damocles Titan is a destruction machine. It creates panic in enemy populations. A warship able to bring the full might of the Alliance to bear. Massive and slow to maneuver in battle, it however can be strategically wreaking havoc on enemy fleets.
Well, to be honest, it's awkward to see massive defense cannons pointed upwards unleash bullet hell on enemies adjacent to them on the same elevation.
regardless of that, I still find it one of my favorite titan designs in this mod. Just looks like a big chunk of bad *** :D
Broadsides in space? Whats not to love? :D
Broadsides, pointing upwards, firing straight ahead...
Weapons on every ships in Sins fire in odd directions ... depending on the orientation of the ship and the target. Turrets that tracked the target would be ideal of course
However, such a thing would result in heavy ram usage, if it was even possible. Whichitmostlikelyisn't.
I think that the turret should be aimed at front...
this titan attack sidewardly, but its ability is mainly forwardly...
kind of strange to me
This uses part of the Sova Carrier Design, as well as the Gauss Defense Platform.
And it looks ****ing badass!
Remind me a lot some Macross design, nice ^^
This one needs to be re-visited.
