Half-Life 2 Enhanced Music addon

INTRODUCTION

Sorry for my bad English.

This addon aims to improve the music of Half-Life 2 and it's Episodes. While adding more appropriate music to the atmosphere of the chapters, I've tried to stay as true to the original spirit of the game as possible. Not all the music of the game has been replaced. Nearly all of the iconic music has been preserved, and some of the original score has been replaced with extended versions. The musics in addon are not my compositions. They have been imported from other PC games (such as F.E.A.R., Opposing Force, Mass Effect) and transferred to the game by making arrangements on them. Extended versions are my arrangements also. In addition, there is one music from the movie The Dark Knight.

This addon both compatible with old version and steampipe versions of the game. It's also compatible with MMOD.

INSTALLATION

- Open the Half-Life_2_Enhanced_Music 7zip archive.

- FOR STEAMPIPE VERSION: Close Steam just in case. Put the "Half-Life-2_Enhanced_Music.vpk" file into the "...\Half-Life 2\hl2\custom" folder. Put the "Episode_One_Enhanced_Music.vpk" file into the "...\Half-Life 2\episodic\custom" folder. Put the "Episode_Two_Enhanced_Music.vpk" file into the "...\Half-Life 2\ep2\custom" folder.

- FOR OLD VERSION: Put "sound" and "scipts" folder inside of "Half-Life-2_Enhanced_Music" folder to the "...\Half-Life 2\hl2" folder. Put the "sound" folder inside of "Episode_One_Enhanced_Music" folder to the "...\Half-Life 2\episodic" folder. Put the "sound" folder inside of "Episode_Two_Enhanced_Music" folder to the "...\Half-Life 2\ep2" folder.

- FOR MMOD: Just like steampipe installation, put the appropriate vpk files into the mmod's "custom" folders.
