Basic outline for the mod. It is based on a game I have been playing. Might be familiar to some of you.

The player is a magician with the ability to cast spells.

He arrives in the world to fight evil.

The world is run by 5 gods. The player can choose which god he wants to work for. This is important because each god has different creatures and spells to give to the magician.

The player has an army of ally creatures that he commands. The main role of the player is to direct the creatures, while he stands back and helps as necessary.

These creatures follow the player and then attack enemies within their attack radius. They can be ordered to go to a specific location or to attack a specific target. Some of the creatures have magical attacks or defenses. These magical creatures will drain energy from the magician to perform their magic.

The enemies are the same 5 groups of creatures that the player uses. The gods are opposing each other. The battles are between the god the player chooses to work for and the other gods. This means that the enemy creatures also have magical offense and defense.

The enemies will be land and air based creatures. No plans for water creatures or maps at this time.

Hopefully an enemy "herder" or leader will be available. The code for this could be extremely involved. I have not thought about it too much. Just looking at it, it appears to be a difficult job.

There will be a large variety of spells available for the magician. He can speed up, heal himself or his allies and of course attack.

There is an idea to limit the number of enemies in battle. The concept is that a creature has to be built around a soul. The number of souls on a map determines the total number of both enemy and ally creatures available. When a creature dies, it's soul becomes available. The owner of the creature can pick the soul up and reuse it. Or the enemy can capture the soul and use it to increase the number of his creatures.

Gameplay is simple and straightforward. The fun is in the maps and the characters. Each character has a personality. This includes the creatures. The maps also have their own character. Desert, Arctic, Forest. The maps are very big. So big that the speed spell is necessary.

Howdy! Been at least a year since an update. Maybe longer!

Had a falling out with an old mod partner. Got disgusted with modding and lazy people in general. Played lots of games. Got bored. Looking for an interesting game and I couldn't find any. So here I am back to making my own interesting game.

You will note that the amount finished has increased from 10 to 20%. You will also note a projected finish date where none was specified before. I am doing this when I feel like it, not on a schedule like it is work. So the progress will be here and there.

For those of you familiar with the profile for the mod, you may or may not be surprised. I have about 3 mod ideas that all use similar gimmicks or entities. The coding I need to do will work for all 3 mods. That means that the one that gets finished is the one I am currently the most interested in. That may or may not be the mod described in the profile.

I made this post mostly to let people know that while there has been no progress for months, the mod is not declared officially dead yet. ;)

I feel ashamed even commenting about this. I applaud the hilarity... and hope you meant the 'innovative' part as a joke.. otherwise I... uh... well... don't think it's innovative at all... There was a mod for Duke Nukem 3D that let you take a crap at intervals... childish, yes... but then again.. we're talking about farting... so... there you go.
