Actually, the Fuel rods are set to be slightly inaccurate to compensate for their awesome power. :) lol. 2-3 hits will kill a Warthog and 1-2 will wipe out a bunched up marine squad. They are vicious.
Maybe but I don't think it'd be very practical for gameplay. And, like you said, it didn't happen very often anyway so I don't think anyone would notice if it never happened in the mod...
The grunt is just a part of the turret so it rises within the scaffolding like the rest of the turret...though that is probably going to change as the Covenant probably doesn't use steel scaffolding. lol
Nice work, but will the turret float above the standard build pad like in this pic, or will it float above the original shade pad thingy like in the other screens? Btw, the other screens where made in mapmaker right? :P So I assume you still have to change the build pad ingame (:
Nope, the other screens are taken from gameplay. The reason one is a buildpad and the other is the Shade base is that the model for capturable build pads and player starting pads are different.
are you gonna try to remove the construction panel when the turret is finished (the turret feels misplaced if you know what i mean cause of the non covenant under piece)
That looks epic, Farseer. Almost right off Reach, too.
Thanks!
WIN WIN WIN!!
Farseer, what else can your Eldar modding skills create?
Hopefully that grunt has bad aim!!!

Would it be possible to make them bounce once? I know it was possible (hard to do, though) in the Halo games.

its a small animation that you'll only see from upclose so IMO it doesnt need to bounce.
My gosh..its like..Halo wars literal. XD
Looks cooler, though.
...I'd hope so. lol
Oh, that's right. You're making the mod. So it is cooler.
Epic!!
Thanks :)
I really like the projectile/particle, it looks perfect!
Thanks!
So, does the Grunt magically appear as the structure is built? That would be kinda cool....

That's still pretty cool that they build a grunt. Should look very interesting in-game.
marine in background: uh, should i run now?

I'm surprised that you didn't use Halo 3's Shade armored front.
A Shade is a Shade is a Shade. :)

further your work keeps impressing me :P
Your answer is on the next screenshot...or rather, a question to the community that you can answer. I'll take the opinions and go from there.
so after the building is compleet it will create a covenant or unsc underpiece, correct ?
Correct.
