Gossamer's Bad Company 2 Launcher
Version 1.3
This tool is meant for players to be able to modify settings that are not changeable from the In-Game settings menu. These are normally found in the settings.ini file in your MyDocuments\BFBC2.
What this application does is load all your settings in and allows you to change them all, save them directly back to the settings.ini file then directly launch your game.

I just played BF3's open beta for the first time.
First thing I noticed was that I could only change my video settings while in an actual match. I'm rather confused on why DICE would do this, but it probably has something to do with the fact that the game doesn't have a main menu, it only has Battlelog (The web interface for the game) and it probably can't edit encrypted files.
Since the settings were encrypted, I was expected very granular settings within the game so that I could change everything. NOPE! I was wrong. You can change more than BC2 allowed you to, but it's still not enough, especially after the fact that they don't let us edit our settings easily anymore.
This means that unless you break out your favourite Hex editor, you won't be getting rid of bloom anytime soon or finely tuning your game to work on that older rig of yours.
Maybe this will change for the game's actual release, but I have my doubts.
What are your opinions on this?

why i change to 640x480 pixel, it reset after launch?

I`ve got the game on Steam, my game lagged so i changed it from 1024x768 to 640x480 but every time i enter the game it gets back to normal...

Does this allow you to make the game look better on higher settings, than using the bad company 2's video settings on high?
I can't remember if the ingame options allow you to select the fullest option on some of these settings.
Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong
this mod looks like it could fix alot
but i cant decide between metro 2033 and bad company 2

a bit of both, though i'm veering to bad company 2
BFBC2 has a larger replayability factor IMO
