GoldenEye: Source is a Multiplayer only total conversion modification of Half-Life 2. It is a fan made recreation, released for free, with only one goal in mind; to bring the memories and experiences from the original GoldenEye64 back to life using Source Technology. We want you to look at this mod and remember the first best multiplayer first-person shooter ever made. We are doing our best to bring in the opinions of the community to create a game that everyone is going to enjoy. But, we are not here to recreate the game exactly how it was in GE64, a lot of things have changed since they first designed that game, mainly in technology and gamers experiences. We are here to take the game even further but at the same time provide a lot of those fun elements that hardcore GE64 fans will enjoy. For the HUD we have a concept picture and we have what is done to date. We plan to release some kind of HUD in the next release.

Man, there was a crosshair in GoldenEye? I need to whip it out (the game, not my... nevermind) and play it again, it's been a few years now. This looks hawt.

Will the heath indicators only show when you are hit--or you plan to have them show all the time. I think in the orig they fade in--otherwise you had to look at your watch or something.
This stuff looks great though--look forward to tying this out.

yah lets give you what you want and screw other people over......

ok in the N64 game called "Golden Eye" there are cross hairs and this mod is trying to recreate golden eye with good graphics. you might be able to turn the cross hairs off in the settings any ways.......

ok then. when i buy my next comp it will be a PC (i am on a mac now), and i will buy HL2 just to play this mod. GE is the best FPS ever, even though the graphics are GREATLY outdated. if you havnt played GE download the .rom version off google.

this mod looks like a great recreation of golden eye, thanks guys.........

I suggest removing it....If you give players the choice of having one on or off they will pick "on" ... because most ppl are noobs and they need an aiming assistant.

KF has no Xhair and It makes things more exciting :) You get used to it.

Yeah, there was a specific "mode" for aiming where it would pop up. But most of the time, there was none :)

goldeneye did have a crosshair..... just that you would have to give up movement for a sec to have it brought up, and your free look was limited.

Hopefuly the health bars fade after you take damage each time, like the original, it is impossible to tell from the csreen shots though

goldeneye64 DID have a crosshair, and the crosshair for GES will reflect the original crosshair's aim mode. engaging the aim mode will slow down the players movement and allow the crosshair to move around the screen (a la the original), not how have scrren bound to a static crosshair.

on facilty on golden eye source i could sit in a corner and just cap ppl as they spwned with my ppk

there was a crosshair in goldeney 64 just you had to hold either r or l to use it and you couldnt move while you did. i think the suit zoom in half life 2 would be excellent to mock that since you cant move when you use that also - just now theyd have to figure out how to enable shooting while the suit zoom is active.

One thing I'd thought I'd mention is Jaw's teeth were much shinier in the films, like stainless steel, but since yours is a WIP maybe thats just something your yet to do.

they will flash when hit, then quickly fade out, jsut like the original. they are also being made more transparent

The origonal golden eye didnt have aiming system unless you pressed a button. it was nice not having a big x on the screen telling you were to aim.... and what about the health bars are they on the screen all the time? is there a war to make them go away untill you take dammage? O.o
By the way looks amazing ;) Golden eye was a great game.
