GoldenEye: Source is a Multiplayer only total conversion modification of Half-Life 2. It is a fan made recreation, released for free, with only one goal in mind; to bring the memories and experiences from the original GoldenEye64 back to life using Source Technology. We want you to look at this mod and remember the first best multiplayer first-person shooter ever made. We are doing our best to bring in the opinions of the community to create a game that everyone is going to enjoy. But, we are not here to recreate the game exactly how it was in GE64, a lot of things have changed since they first designed that game, mainly in technology and gamers experiences. We are here to take the game even further but at the same time provide a lot of those fun elements that hardcore GE64 fans will enjoy. We've got experienced team members all across the board, from professional level, to amateurs looking to make it into the business working hard to make this dream a reality.

Hello again. Its time for some more media. We've began alpha testing lately, adding new features, weapons, and finishing up on some maps. We are proud to say that the game play is running great, and feels wonderful. Some of the things we are working on are incorporating paintball mode to go along

We've began alpha testing lately, adding new features, weapons, and finishing up on some maps. We are proud to say that the game play is running great, and feels wonderful. Some of the things we are working on are incorporating paintball mode to go along with our other game modes. We are also working on the HUD or Heads-Up-Display. The hud will look pretty much like the original except a few graphical updates, for those who are wondering. Other things we are working on is movements. We are adding lean, and continuing to tweak the speed movements to better suit our needs. And of course, we are making progress on our character models.

Now for the media, if you already haven't seen it you fast clickers :). First up is the bunker map, worked on by Jeo. As you can see the map is looking pretty good for its short development time. The map is looking alot different from the original, which is good because we want things to feel a bit new to everyone. We also have a render of a section of Egyptian, worked on by EnzoMatrix. As you can see from previous screen shots of this area, this whole area has new textures, along with the entire map. Although the textures may change later on, as like any of the maps, this is starting to look like one hell of a map.

In the next few weeks we hope to be finalizing the alpha, and move on to the closed beta, which we will be picking people out of the community to help test. In the next media update, we should have some more skinned weapons, and a look at some new maps, and also some maps that are almost finished.
